Default How can VH not be in Guitar Hero?

That just seems like a smack in the face.

I mean look at the song list there are some decent tunes on there. I think GNR sould have made the list also.

    Song List:
    http://ps2.ign.com/articles/662/662002p1.html

The game got a killer review. It seems like all the gamers really like it.

    Review:
    http://ps2.ign.com/articles/663/663674p1.html

    got a 9.2 outstanding.

I just cannot believe there is a game like this and there is no VH, what do you guys think? Felt the same way about the movie "School of Rock" hardley no VH reference in it. Like when Jack Black is telling that kid to lossen up while playing guitar, then showed some guitar players having a blast while playing. IMO I think EVH shows the most emotion while playing. Not one clip of Ed jumping or anything, just sad.

I will never buy another Rolling Stone or any of the other magazines that have placed Ed in a position he should not be.

I am sure its pay for play...just wasn't worth it to the company. Maybe Ed's shredding caused the PS2 to freeze!

Hasn't VH backed out on a lot of things like this? If I recall, the only thing they endorsed was the crystal clear Pepsi, and that was only because they told VH that they were going to use the song regardless.

If Ed said no... I can certainly understand. I also remember Sammy not wanting to do Twister because he didnt want VH songs on an album with crap.

I guess every artist has their reasons.

It's just a sign that game manufacturers...or K-Tel styled record collections... are not up to the class, nor willing to shell bones for VH licensed music, and that decision may well be from the collective band, and how can you get a decision from the band when we (and they) don't even know who the band is right now? They don't just pick the song and put it on there. They have to deal with the rights owners. And when that means dealing with Van Halen, good flippin' luck!

Uh, some people are jumping to conclusion here. Especially with Jake Black - he rules and he's a huge VH fan.
Me thinks that someone - I'm making a very wild guess and predicting it's a dude living on top of a mountain and drinking smoky loon - made unreasonable demands or asked for 2 much money so they couldn't include VH in "School of Rock" (in my mind one of the Top 3 rock movies of all time).
I saw a new mag at the newstand called "Guitar Hero" and EVH's not in there, but for a good reason: it features Hendrix, Rhoads, SRV, Dime, etc.
    only dead guitar players.

Is that the one u guys r talking about?
