Default SURVIVOR : Van Halen's Next Best

Here's another round of Survivor, Van Halen style.

But this one's a little different. Rather than find the pecking order of a particular album, let's find out which song would have been on the "Best Of Both Worlds" greatest hits if they had room for one more song from the DLR era.

I really think this could be very interesting if we're able to get enough people casting a vote. EVERYONE welcome to vote regardless of when you jump into this thread.....the more people we get, the better!

The criteria is simple, any song that is NOT on "Best Of Both Worlds" will be in the mix. However, to keep the list manageable, I've already eliminated those that just aren't "Greatest Hits" material (The Full Bug, Outta Love Again, House Of Pain, In A Simple Rhyme, etc). Now before you get your red and black panties in an uproar ,I'm not saying those songs suck. Of course I love 'em as much as you guys. But the fact is, they just aren't strong enough to challenge for the 'one more song on BOBW' list. I think the majority would agree.

So, Again, we are in search of the ONE SONG that deserves to be on "BEST OF BOTH WORLDS" if they had room for one more DLR era song.

You are voting OFF the song that is LEAST WORTHY of being that song.....so in the end we'll end up with the song MOST WORTHY of being on the BOBW Greatest Hits.

    Ready? Here's the list:

    I'm The One
    Feel Your Love Tonight
    Ice Cream Man
    On Fire
    You're No Good
    Somebody Get Me A Doctor
    Light Up The Sky
    D.O.A.
    Romeo Delight
    Hear About It Later
    So This Is Love?
    Little Guitars

I'm voting OFF: Light Up The Sky

VH with Wolf/Dave ('12-'15) - Amazing comeback. Smokin' album and tours.

I LOVE Your No Good, the only problem is I like every other song on the list more, so, Im voting off:

It looks like everybody else is voting off You're No Good, (and the apostrophe which makes it a contraction). I will agree with You're No Good, although I'll keep the apostrophe.

How You're No Good made the list but Rhyme and The Full Bug didn't is a mystery to me. Anyway, YNG is my vote.

Well, apparently you're right, Dan!! I've always loved You're No Good and just assumed it was thought pretty highly of....apparently it's not the stud I thought it was! Lol........But that's what makes these damn Survivor things so cool.....you quickly learn that your opinion of songs is not always in line with other fans....it never ceases to amaze me.

Bottom line is that You're No Good, Rhyme, and Full Bug won't stand a chance to outlast some of the heavy-hitters on the list so in the end it won't matter that Rhyme and Bug weren't on the original list.

I'll be updating the results each morning before I go to work .... that leaves the voting open for a full day every day......So, it looks like YNG will be gone in the AM, but for now, voting will be open for the rest of the night.

Oh, and props to my fellow Van Halenites for stepping up and casting those votes....would be nice if we keep getting 10-15 per round....
