Default Your Favorite Guitar Solo's - Non VH

We've all got our favorite guitar solo's that blew us away the first time we heard them. They don't have to be the fastest, longest, or loudest...they just stick out to us for some reason or another.

Here are some of mine in no particular order:

    1. Flirtin' With Disaster (Molly Hatchet) - I'm 37 years old and from the very first time my older brother played this in like 1980 or so I was blown away by the song and the solo. Pure energy! It is the one song I would have sold my soul to the devil in order to play! Lol...

    2. Hitch A Ride (Boston) - Another song that I fell in love with from day 1. The solo is so perfectly constructed and appropriate you can't help but love it.

    3. L.A. Woman (The Doors) - I'm not a big Doors fan anymore but whenever I catch this song on the radio I can't help but leave it on. Fantastic solo.

    4. Big Love (Fleetwood Mac) - The version on THE DANCE is Lindsay Buckingham at his best. The entire friggin' song is one long masterpiece.

    5. Jimi Thing (Dave Matthews/Tim Reynolds Acoustic) - If you're not familiar with Live at Luther College with Dave and Tim on acoustic then you're missing some of the best guitar playing around. The "Jimi Thing" solo in particular is Tim just ripping it up. It's awesome.

    6. Sweet Child O Mine (Guns n Roses) - Is it possible to listen to this song without cranking the volume and air-guitaring the solo?

    7. Dazed And Confused (Led Zeppelin) - Jimmy was ahead of his time.

    8. Home Sweet Home (Motley Crue) - I was a senior in High School when this song came out and I still love this solo. It's not often I ever hear the Crue anymore, but I still know this solo like the back of my hand.

    9. Working Man (Rush) - Not a big Rush guy, but this solo is ridiculous.

    10. Texas Flood (Stevie Ray Vaughan) - Do I really have to explain?

"You may recognize some of these chemicals. Let's start with cyanide...The one the Aum Shinrikyo cult attempted to use to commit mass murder in a Tokyo subway in May 1995...The same cyanide produced routinely--1.4 million tons per year--for use in the production of plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and so on. It seems that those who put small amounts of cyanide in subways are terrorists. But those who produce it in mass quantities and contaminate broad reaches of soil, water, and air, killing countless living beings, are not terrorists, but rather capitalists, and are counted among the finest and most powerful people on the planet."

Does Beat It by Michael Jackson qualify?

A bunch by Nuno. Cupids Dead, Pornograffiti is insane, Love is a Cigarrette.

Steve Stevens has a few excellent one's, song names escape me. Dirty Diana was pretty cool.
    Dealing with it.

    Neal Schon anything!!!
Stupid is forever, ignorance can be fixed.
False words are not only evil in themselves, but they infect the soul with evil.
Compassion is the basis of all morality.
The stupid neither forgive nor forget; the naive forgive and forget; the wise forgive but do not forget.
