For me, its great that Dave is able to play at the smaller venues.

Cant wait to see him at the Ameristar on the 25th.

Curious if anyone knows who he is playing with, and who his band is these days.

    DLR BAND

    Diamond Dave--vocals, mojo maintenance
    Bad Brian Young--lead guitar
    Toshi Hiketa(sp?)--rhythm guitar
    Todd Jensen--bass guitar
    Pat Torpey--drums

I saw the mighty DLR Band live at the Naperville, IL Ribfest an' there must've been 350,000 or 360,000 classic Van Halen fans rothin' and a rollin' ALL HELL YEAH!! I ain't lyin'!!
ASHES TO ASHES...DUST TO DUST...IF THE WOMEN DON'T GET YA, THE WHISKEY MUST!!...

"I used to play the blues alone in all the local joints," he explained. 'The only thing that I can really play on guitar to this day is the blues. I heard Doc Watson and his son playing 15 years ago, and from there I got into Leadbelly and John Lee Hooker."--DLR

If you pay attention -- what I sing, the guitar sings, too, and what the guitar says, I say.--Mississippi Fred McDowell

About a million folks go to the Naperville ribfest e'ery year...so it's believable that 300,000 plus could have been rothin' and a rollin' this a here year nah nah...I remember lookin' back from where me and my gal were...about ten feet from the stage...and it was AN OCEAN of people...I ain't lyin'...

    http://jamfests.com/napervilleribfest/sponsors.htm

Voted as “The Best Fest in the Midwest” for the last 9 years, Ribfest 2005 will run from July 1st through July 4th at Naperville Knoch Park. Approximately 200,000 people come to enjoy the food and listen to the music each year.

    2004 ATTENDANCE
    Approximately 200,000 over 4 days

I guess it's possible that they had a 500% increase in attendance in 2005 But I doubt it.
