Default Seems like Petrucci fans appreciate Eddie

    Hi!
I just thought I'd share this thread we have going on in the John Petrucci forums (Guitar player for Dream Theater for those who didn't know). There's lots of great players there and it's good to see that Eddie is held in such a high regard in there also.

Edward Van Halen is indeed a living legend...

Cool Fin-thanks for the post. I enjoyed reading those comments in a "non-Van Halen" setting. I think most of the members on this site are just so blinded by the Dave vs. Sam shit and the Eddie and his drinking crap.

Listen up people: Be thankful you are alive during the time a living legend is among us! He has given so much we take for granted! Sure, I would love some new material as well but only when the man himself is ready to give it.

My point- I wasn't alive to see Hendrix, were you? If so ,you are lucky. Consider yourself the same now with EDWARD VAN HALEN and don't take it for granted!

Long live the king of six strings!

Never saw Hendrix, but I am damn glad a friend of mine dragged me out to see none other that Stevie Ray Vaughan, who was opening for Huey Lewis back in 84, 85... They had a full house jam with both bands at the end and it was incredible!

    ...but I digress

I really like the fact that Eddie is getting praise and respect !

These guys don't even get the chance to watch Van Halen as much as we do.
And yet they are cool about it.

    No whining and complaining.
