    Default AFU vs It's Showtime

This is a tough one...I can remember getting pretty pumped with AFU before football games in high school, but I have to tell ya, I give the slight nudge to It's Showtime. Dave's band is frickin smokin' on this one...

Sammy's lyrics on AFU are pretty much in your face - you know he's singing about hitting the stage and being pumped about it...not bad lyrics, by any means...

But Daves lyrics on IS, they kind of creep on ya...by the end you realize he's flippin the bird to record companies, managers, whoever...the ones that kind of push the artist out on stage and say hey, get yer ass out there and perform...and Dave's kind of sayin, "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?"

    Two great ones about performing...

I don't find this one tough at all as I've never really liked It's Showtime.

What he said. It's Showtime is definitely a cool tune but it's no VH...

    Default No surprise, I guess

Obviously, anyone who knows me knows I dig Van Hagar by a landslide over solo DLR...and I really like AFU...

The great thing about music is sometimes it sneaks up and kicks you in the ass. I was spinning The Very Best of DLR, or whatever it's called...and It's Showtime just kind of came out of the radio and stung me.

Both great tunes but I`m gonna give this one to AFU. To bad Van Hagar didn`t do more songs like this!

    AFU without question.

Ed is a force on this one and I'll take a blazing Ed over any solo DLR.

I like the music better on AFU, I like the vocals better on It's Showtime. Call it a draw or just combine them into It's Time to Get All Fired Up for the Show!

It was pretty cool when Monday Night Football used It's Showtime for it's intro once last year. Anyone else remember that?
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Preferred pronouns: he/him/his

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!

it's showtime is my choice....don't like the melody or lyrics in AFU, however, the music per usual is smokin'. lyrically, there's some duds on ou812....the others for me are source of infection and sucker in a 3 piece.....but he makes up for it with mine all mine.
