Little harder and kinda unfair because I love 'em ALL (yes EVEN III, Squalen...) but here goes...

If I have to pick (in no particular order):

    WACF
    Van Halen
    III

My advice is to go for the alien abduction story. Look bemused, dishevelled and on the verge of tears as you recount your story of intrusive and degrading medical tests.
Worked for me anyway. I still have colleagues asking me what it is like to fuck a green womanoid with seventeen breasts.

    Sixstring,

You've got Van Halen's debut album listed??? Are you serious?

See, it's funny about those landmark albums. While their greatness cannot be denied, there are certain LPs whose songs and vibe have just completely saturated a lifetime of memories, and thusly suffer via overplayed and overhyped blitzkrieg. And those albums, at least for me, are VH 1, 1984, and 5150. I RARELY put these CDs in the player anymore. They're just too washed out.

(notable exceptions include I'm the One and On Fire off VH 1, Hot for Teacher and Girl Gone Bad off '84, and Summer Nights off 5150, which to my fading and weathered mind, hold their timelessness).

I hear what you're saying, but that first Van Halen album is one of the greatest rock-and-roll albums ever recorded.

    End of story.

    1) Diver Down (If I wanted cover tunes, I would listed to a bar band)
    2) Any of the three compilation albums. Put out some new stuff for cryin' out loud!
    3) III (Good for what it was, but I would have preferred another album with either Sammy or Dave.)

I didn't count any Live or compilation albums. And Other than VH3, none of them are bad, just least favorite.

LOL! See, I KNEW I'd catch just as much shit for this one as I do for my overall love of III! There's certain songs on VH I that just don't do it for me:

Ice Cream Man - Fun tune but not really ESSENTIAL in my book

On Fire - Kind of a filler tune for me

Feel You Love Tonight - GREAT perfomance but the tune just lacks that "something" for me...

Don't get me wrong, "Van Halen" IS INDEED one of the CLASSIC albums of ALL TIME but when I want my VH fix, I VERY RARELY pick this one up. II is a completely consistant album from beginning to end, by comarison, and I'd pop it in WAY before I would VH I...

    $.02

    Flame on...

I listen to them all quite frequently though, except for 3. But I still listen to that sometimes.
