Default Let It Scream: The John Corabi Fans Thread

Please tell me Im not the only John Corabi fan around. I think Motley Crües 1994 album kicked ass, and the Scream and Union were two pretty cool bands. Hes one of my favorite singers and am putting together a Corabi compilation of 17 songs right now, which inspired me to start this thread. And has anyone heard his cover of HFT? That really kicks ass!

So who else likes the Crab?

Huge Crabby fan. I wish there was more stuff out there from him. He is one of my favorite singers.

The Scream cd is one of my all-time favorites and really dig the Motley cd as well as the Union stuff. I think there is quite a few fans on here who really like that Motley cd as well, at least from conversations in the past.

Quaternary wasnt that bad either, but MC '94 was the best. I wish we had seen another Corabi Crue album, cause i wasnt that big a Gen. Swine fan. But i love the Union records and i FUCKING LOVE his cover of Hot For Teacher. I can upload it if ya havent heard it. And Let It Scream is as well one of my favorite records.

I agree, Corabi is an amazing singer and a good guitar player too. I also love his cover of Hot For Teacher and Hooligan's Holiday is one of Motley Crue's best songs(It's still no Wildside or Doc Feelgood, but hey). Now he's in one of my favorite bands, Ratt so rock on Crabby!

    Loved Corabi with the Crue

I thought the '94 Crue disc was the best thing they had ever done. Corabi was great with the rockin' songs and could pull off the ballads without sounding cheesy (unlike Vince). I was one of the few that saw them on that tour and it was a great show!

I picked up the first Union disc. Not on par with his work with the Crue, but still good stuff. I kinda lost track of him after that. When Sixx was putting together the Brides of Destruction, Corabi was supposed to be handling the lead vocals. I'm not sure how that fell apart, but I wish it hadn't. I would have loved to hear another collaboration between Sixx and Corabi.

I never tracked down any of the Scream stuff. Aren't there a couple of Scream discs with Corabi? Can anyone recommend one for me to hunt down?

First off: Yes, Corabi's Crüe record was maybe the best thing theyve ever put out (Feelgood and GirlsX3 come close). Instrumentally and vocally the band was just on fire. And John didnt sound cheesey in stuff like Driftaway and Loveshine, while still rockin' on stuff like Uncle Jack and Hooligan's Holiday. And i think Corabi still has co-writing credits on the BOD disc, which is another hard rockin album.

As for the Scream, they only cut one album, and i would reccomend you 100% on getting this record.

Big fan. There's a pretty decent bootleg of him with Crue from 1994 in Japan on the net, the older Crue songs sound amazing with his vocals and rhythm guitar. The man in an incredible talent.

John rocked with Motley Crue. Would have liked to had a couple more albums from them.

Wasn't he making an album with Mick Mars? Did that ever get finished?
