The Wilburys have a place of honor in the K-SCUM playlist. Feel free to make a request and I'll play em!

    I absolutely love these guys.

I'm not a "techy", but their album sounds so good. I think whoever produced it did a hell of a job. And some of the guys were putting out solo albums at the time like George Harrison and Tom Petty, and all of it sounded so similar to the Willburys...I think there was a lot of inspiration there...some real legends.

I'm not into Roy Orbison...his whole vibe freaks me out. He looked dead before he died...then they did that weird ass video with footage of him singing and them backing him up...eeeek.

I'm the opposite, I found it irritating that with Jeff Lynne's production that Wilbury and Petty albums started sounding alike. But I think it's an interesting concept for an album (Volume 1) bringing these 5 guys together and there are some good songs there

    I'm a fan as well.

I found their tribute to the late great George Harrison during his concert tribute to be a very fitting remembrance.

I am a fan also. Was able to pick up a CD with both albums on it. I also got Vol. 's 1 & 3 on cassette. Can't wait for a box set on these guys. Always liked the Song " The Poor House". My Brother in Law was going thru a divorce at the time and we would sit, drink, party and listen to this song over and over. Made him feel better.

I just picked up this compilation. It finally came out and it is really good. They also threw in a DVD of Videos, films and a home movie made durin the recording of Vol. 3 while thy were in Bel Air. The DVD is priceless. The home movie footage was really cool. George Harrison's son and wife were there. Ed, if you are on here just reading some threads, please get this and watch the DVD. I know most , if not all the VH fans would love you to do something like this.

Thank you... For years I thought I was alone with this opinion...

It was never made. The second album was titled Volume 3 as a nod of recognition to bootleggers who had issued 'Volume 2' containing early studio mixes/alternate takes.

There was a rumor that a third CD might be made with the title "Vol 5"

So basically I've wasted the last 16 years of my life. Damn you Wilburrys (Wilburries?)!
I always thought that the Traveling Wilburys name was a response by George Harrison to his pal Clapton's "FIGHT (NO MATTER HOW LONG)" single released under the name The Bunburys. Fight was a collaboration between Clapton and The Bee Gees featured on the 1988 olympic album - One Moment In Time. It's a good song, typical of Clapton's mid-80's commercial period.

Well, if you stumble on that bootleg collection, the 16 years will have paid off yes?
