Default VH in top 500 in Blender magazine.

Not sure if anyone really cares or not but Blender just put out the top 500 songs since 1980. There are some good songs on there, November Rain, Battery, Black Hole Sun etc...but some real crap too i.e...Cyndi Lauper. The boys came in at number 304 with HFT. They only listed 250-500 at the website, you have to buy the Mag to get the other 250. Does anyone have that, and if so...did VH have any more in the top 250. I of course think, as we all probably do, there should be many more VH classics in there but at least they weren't completly dissed like they were by RS.

Jump was like number 169 or something. I saw the copy of the magazine the other day at work. Just like all lists, this one was pretty damn pointless. Case in point, Outkast's Bombs Over Baghdad was number 2 on the list.

As far as trying to keep current with what's going on the the world of pop culture, I'll take Blender over RS any day...but that list IS pretty f'n pointless. There's a LOAD of CRAP listed there...

There are at least 300 songs on there that don't belong on that list. Now I understand the need to include some hip hop and R&B on the list but there is a lot of crap on that list. Here are some lowlights---

#2 "B.O.B." Outkast (good song but #2 in the last 25 years? Come on.)
#9 "...Baby One More Time" Britney Spears
#27 "Just A Friend" Biz Markie
    #56 "Poison" Bell Biv Devoe
    #134 "Believe" Cher
    #154 "Stay" Lisa Loeb
(All these songs are better than Jump at #162 or for that matter ANY VH song from Women And Children First until now)
Def Leppard has one song (Sugar) on the list. Nothing from Pyromania yet there are 4 songs from Beyonce/Destiny's Child on the list.

I stopped caring about lists after Rolling Stone. I still send those arsholes an email from time to time to vent my anger about where they put EVH.

I genuinely get mad when I think about it.
