    Agreed.

    Here's a killer deep cut from Candy-O ...

"It's so lonely at the top because it's so crowded at the bottom" - Diamond David Lee Roth

"If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you"

Dude motley crue is horrible. I saw them in new Orleans with my wife when we were down there and I ended up throwing shit at the stage. It was that bad. Almost as bad as aerosmith.

Why would you use that as a benchmark when clearly jungleland is superior. Just not as well known. Plus Clarence really kills in that song.

All of you are wrong, THIS is the best Bruce song....

Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Preferred pronouns: he/him/his

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!

DONATE TO THE LINKS YA CHEAP BASTARDS!!!!

Jungleland is a good tune, but he clearly copied part of Elton John's Tiny Dancer ...

Go to the 28 second mark ...

And compare it to the beginning of this ...

"It's so lonely at the top because it's so crowded at the bottom" - Diamond David Lee Roth

"If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you"

Bruce is a phenomenal lyricist, you simply cannot deny that fact:
The River, Racing in the street, Darkness on the edge of town, Jungleland, Point Blank...

Even the early stuff like "Rosalita," tells a story and puts you in the shoes of the characters.

Bruce really lost me, though, many many albums ago.
He even had one song that copied the melodic hook line for KISS' I was made for lovin' you.
The well went dry a long time ago, but he was on fire for many albums.

    And, no.

Bon Jovi is not a studied singer.
He doesn't even have good tone, never mind technique.

But he did have an image & ambition.

Cool tune from potential RRHOF inductees Dire Straits ...
