    Default VH an American Band?

It would be nice if Sammy could get of his Tequila tour and call up Eddie and do something for the people impacted from the hurricane. How about setting all the bullshit aside for a change and hit the road for the victims of Katrina. Sam has said before that he would have no problem playing with Dave. Imagine if the all time American band did something for these hurting American cities? Think these bloated egomaniacs could do something selfless for a change? It would be a great gesture.

It's kinda funny how you say it would be a great gesture but in reality what your saying is "Van Halen should just fucking get back together and this is just another vehicle they could have used to do it." I hear ya either way.

Well I am actually saying instead of all the bullshit that is all about each of them that they put it all aside, not make new music and get together in some fashion because they can make tons of money that can help people in need. My point is that VH is always regarded as one of the all time great American rock banks. So if they are too ever step up (I forgot about farm aid) and help Americans in desperate need this would be a great time.
I am sure they it wont happen and other bands will step up as usual.

Ya know, I want to see Van Halen make new music as much as the next guy. But to single Van Halen out for not getting back together to perform a benefit concert isn't really fair.

First off, I don't see other "American" bands like Aerosmith, Kiss, Metallica, Bon Jovi, The Eagles, Guns N' Roses, etc. throwing benefit concerts. So why single out Van Halen for not doing it. Even if other bands did do it (like Velvet Revolver is throwing one in Orlando to generate relief money), it doesn't mean Van Halen are "bloated egomaniacs" for not doing so. As far as any of us know, they've already personally pledged throusands of dollars to help those people. Lets not use this national tragedy as another lame excuse to rip our favorite band yet again.
