USC's obviously #1, after that Texas, who'll get pounded by Oklahoma again this year for the 60th straight time....... I'm only serious, you know I love you Texas fans..........anyhow, made it to a couple of OU practices this last week, they look really good! Got some excellent new personnel and changed the defense back the way it should be, thank God, after Pelini screwed it up last year. QB situation is shaping up real well, Bomar is gonna be a stud, that guy has it all plus some. Bottom line, I think OU has been a bit over-rated all along with White, this year I think they're under-rated. So, how are the rest of the schools around the country looking?

My Buckeyes play two top ten teams in the first 4 weeks , Texas in week 2 and Iowa in week 4 . If they get by those two , look for them to be playing for a national championship game birth when we head to Ann Arbor in late November !

Keep an eye on Teddy Ginn Jr. , if he's not on the Heisman list now , he will be very soon !

What - the Mighty Terrapins didn't break the Top 25?? Fucking conspiracy or it might be that they just SUCK!!!

Can't wait though for the season to start. Hopefully they'll repeat last year against FSU, but it's in Florida so we'll see and they lost some good starters.

Admittedly, I am partial..But I think Auburn is being vastly overlooked. I think Brandon Cox is going to be a great QB and the Defense should be rock solid.

Brett, how do you think losing Chow is going to affect SC's offense?

Wasn't it Auburn that was ranked real high in the pre-season polls a couple of years ago , and then lost their first 3 or 4 games right out of the gate ? Maybe that's why .

I really don't know to be honest, I think they have enough players who can make players regardless of who is calling them. But we'll see.

Yeah they were. They played USC first game of the year in 2003 and were shut out 23-0 at home in Matt Leinart's first game ever. And they were ranked higher than SC that year in the pre-season polls.

Only in Oklahoma do they teach their children to count "one, two, three, four, five, sixty..." Need I remind the Sooners that the all-time record
is 55-39-5? Sure, Stoops has had Mack's number. Maybe (just maybe)
if Bob sticks around in Norman long enough, the series might eventually be tied up. Then again, I expect the series total to start moving in the right direction again this year, 56-39-5. Hook 'Em.

Oh, wait. I just realized why OU fans count that way... By the time they
count to five, USC will have scored sixty.

    Here's my prediction.........

USC plays Ohio State for the National Championship in the Rose Bowl ! It's just like the 60's and 70's all over again!

Reggie Bush and Ted Ginn on the same field , NCAA football has never seen such speed !

Yeah..But obviously you were asleep last year as Auburn went 13-0. Auburn's record in 2003 can be attributed to a couple things. One, they were overrated and most of all, Tuberville screwed up royally by promoting his OL coach to OC after Petrino left for Louisville. On top of that, he made him run Petrino's offense. Auburn was pathetically predictable that year.

Last year, Al Borges ( A real OC) managed to put together a pretty good offense as evidenced by the whole backfield being drafted in the first round. Including an NFL record two RB's in the top five.

My point is this. Most people who vote in these polls don't know jack about football including what teams have returning.

I was there...No offense to USC as they were/are a great team obviously. But Auburn had as much to do with that loss as USC, IMO.
