    Graveyard dirt

Some bluesmen say that if you go an' get you some graveyard dirt, then your guitar playin' will improve...seems like a bettah deal than sellin' yer soul...
ASHES TO ASHES...DUST TO DUST...IF THE WOMEN DON'T GET YA, THE WHISKEY MUST!!...

"I used to play the blues alone in all the local joints," he explained. 'The only thing that I can really play on guitar to this day is the blues. I heard Doc Watson and his son playing 15 years ago, and from there I got into Leadbelly and John Lee Hooker."--DLR

If you pay attention -- what I sing, the guitar sings, too, and what the guitar says, I say.--Mississippi Fred McDowell

Pretty deep when you think about it huh? The blues are from the soul indeed. Not from graveyard souls.

    Very superstitious

You can learn some good blues in the midnight hour at a graveyard.

    Well...well...well...Yez Yez...Awwww Hell Yeah!!...Sho' Nuff nah...Yez Yeah!!....Well

That's not to say that I don't like the movie or own the soundtrack. I don't like Ry Cooder's version of,"Crossroads." An' if I ever watched the movie again, I would just fast forward to the Blind Dog Fulton dialogue and the duel.

Well...well...well...Yez Yeah...Oooooh well well...Well, blow yo harmonica, sunnnn...

Another way to make your guitar sound better is put a couple of rattlesnake tails inside of it. Just make sure you don't let 'em turn to dust or you'll go stone blind.

I'd be really interested to know the origins of lots of the blues mythology...Know any good books, Loons?
