Tell me what you think of this song

Some college buddies and I have been playing for a few months on the weekends--here's a song we recorded a little while ago.

    http://www.the3hundred.com/05-ChemicalBurn.mp3

All of our ladies and friends say they love it--but it's nice to get an outside opinion.

not bad at all man. nice heavy song. definately metallica influenced (early and newer)
if you're looking for any constructive criticism, (i hate that word)
maybe tweak the intro a little (the first 25 seconds)
other than that it's great. I'd love to hear it with some production $$ behind it. good job

pretty cool... but the damn hi-hat is off time until 15 seconds into it...

I agree with Sinner's comment "definately metallica influenced (early and newer)"

    Thanks for the comments!

I should have prefaced the link by saying that the drummer has only been playing a set since last November, and the bass player since late January of this year. They were both trained drummers in high school marching band, but I still have to give them some props for picking up things so quickly.

However, we definately have lots of room for improvement.

I like that first track--Wrecking Ball. The lead player has some chops!

hey evil jimmi, I'm listening to "dark" right now and I love the groove. like a heavy chili peppers with hetfield up front. this is good stuff. "Caste out" awesome, keep up the good work. Is it you singing? if so, shit if metallica ever need a replacement vocalist for james, you're in dude.

BTW: The recording is circa 1994...

BTW Part2: Start up a Metallica Tribute band and you'll easily pay for college!!!
