I like my Kramer Focus 6000 too. But they made the thing a little too thick in the neck and it weighs a bit more than what I like my guitars. Great sounding though!

Honestly strangely enough the ASAT doesn't do a lot for me (though I have heard they are extremely nice guitars). Something about the pickup covers or whatever it is on them, it's just a bit to busy for me. Everything else G&L makes is incredible to me, though im sure if I owned an ASAT I would warm up to it.

No shit, the ones made before they sold out to Asia. I was lucky with my focus6000...one of the last made with a reverse headstock and that "Andy Timmons" changing color guitar.
My guitar does change colors in the stage lights. It has a weird metallic finish that allows the changes. You must see to believe.

i have a f6000 that ive beat to shit but still is my main practice guitar.

ive done so much to it repainted it , sanded off the finish on the neck , thrown it across a stage after being screwed over by the soundman at a gig.

    its a fun guitar.

just check them out at one of your local stores if they have them, they have extremely reasonable prices for very good quality. I would take a $500 Dean over a $3000 Gibson any day. I mean check some of these beauties out http://www.deanguitars.com/hardtail.php those are the hardtails here are the vendettas http://www.deanguitars.com/vendetta.htm (scroll down) the caddilacs http://www.deanguitars.com/caddys.php heres a link for you too see many more http://www.deanguitars.com/electrics.htm

I DID buy a Black Dean ML back in 1979 when they first came out and still have it. I bought it when I was just starting to gig and that axe had the look and the sound of the day. The paint is cracked all to hell, now. I broke the friggin neck at a gig one night. I tripped over my cord when the axe was on a stand and it fell flat on it's face. It was the only guitar I had that night. Believe this or not,our soundman had a 4" c-clamp in his van and I clamped in on the neck at the headstock and finished the rest of the gig. It still plays fine but I really don't play it much these days.

Honestly, these days I play my Carvin DC 400T the most.

I'm faithful to Washburn (P4's, CT-5's) for my main axes, but the Dean hardtails do look pretty sweet.
