    Default Charvel Art Series discussion...

    ...and HEAVILY discounted too.

    http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/...se_pid/511804/

Must be having trouble moving these out the door via the normal channels. As many of us expected.

American Musical Supply also seems to have them for the same price.

As far as I know, that's always been the price.
I have noticed that the prices are going down on eBay though.

They get the price of them down around 8 or 9 hundred bucks, I MIGHT consider getting one...

I got the catalog in the mail the other day and they were like $2,474.99 or something, down about $200 bucks from before.

Again, unless you are in a VH cover band, why on Earth would you drop that kind of cash on a striped guitar? If it was 1985, they would be flying off the shelves, but it ain't gonna happen in 2005.

But everyone knows, if you are in a tribute band, wouldn't you build your own?
You know the best tone I ever had was with that little bandmaster cranked to 10. Edward Van Halen, 1980, Guitar Player Magazine.

Check out ZZsounds.com. They have the Red and White available on 8/15/05. Musicians friend is looking at mid October 2005. ZZsounds price is also $2699 and they do not charge Tax. Tax at Musicians friend would put that Charvel at almost $3000. If you are a serious inquiry/buyer check out ZZsounds.com. Of course Musicians friend is very trusted and has a 45 day trial period ... but who cares. If you buy one of these guitars I don't think you would want to return it unless you were just too broke.

    Just an FYI ...

It just bothers me that not one of them is an accurate reproduction of any guitar Eddie has ever played. You can take any of the three and point out why that's the case, the red/white/black one being the most unrealistic of the lot. I hate how they just kind of made up what the stripe pattern would look like if the Frankie didn't have the routs for the single coils.

My real problem is one can get a killer used EBMM or Wolfie for the same or less than this joke of a guitar and have more than one pickup...

    I totally agree.
I own a '93 EBMM EVH and I love it!
What has always amazed me is the fact that these guitars aren't more expensive and sought after by collectors. After all, only approximately 6000 of these guitars were ever made! These are the only TRUE EVH production guitars IMO.

I would DEFINATELY buy another EBMM EVH before I would EVER buy a Charvel, or even a Wolfgang.

I don't get what everyone sees in the EBMM that is so much better than the Wolfgang. The EBMM is great, but I think the Wolfgang Standard improves on it. You've got the archtop on the Wolfie, the standard D-tuna, both have the birdseye maple necks, and the headstock and body on the Wolfgang seem much more smooth and sleek to me. The EBMM just looks kind of akward. -Just my opion-

    Don't be hate'n
The archtop feature on the Wolfgang is nice, but that's just not as important to me as some of the features on my EBMM such as the balance, weight, neck carve, etc ... Also, the D-Tuna is also a great feature. but they aren't "exclusive" to the Wolfgang guitar. In fact, I have one on my EBMM.
To say that the EBMM "looks funny" compared to the Wolfgang is pretty ironic considering that Peavey basically copied the EBMM design.
