    Default EBMM's

Does anybody if there was a difference quality wise of the first production EBMM EVH vs. the later model ones. There seems to be some differences in the Wolfgang's, and was wondering if this happened to the EBMM's.

As far as I know, all of the EVH EBMM's were all identical to one another

BOISE STATE BRONCOS! - They're awesome. Deal with it!

11/16/04 - VAN HALEN in Boise, Idaho. Changed my life forever

8/8/06 - Sammy Hagar and the Wabos w/Michael Anthony in Boise, Idaho. Sam and Mike still kick ass

Quality wise I believe they are all the same. The necks and the tops seemed to be more highly figured on the earlier ones though.

As an owner of such a guitar the quality figure that outstands (and I don't think that the other series had it) is the whole neck in deed. And to be more precise (just in case someone doesn't know) it is said that it was specially designed after Eddie's old Kramer neck, which over the years has taken the shape of his palm. So the EBMM's necks are not symmetrical (as most guitars) but assymetrical as one's palm is while he grasps a guitar's neck. (just take a look at the shape formed from your index fingure to your thumb and you'll get an idea how the neck is formed)

    Just some useful/useless info

That is actually a very good point...and 100% true. They are much thicker at the 5th string than at the second...which is the main reason why they are so comfortable to play.

And now for the part that will surprise a lot of you.......Wolfgang standards are the exact same way.

Quality-wise, no difference. I have a first year EBMM (Pink), and a '95 Amber EBMM. They play absolutely the same, and have the same craftsmanship.

I agree with home about the tops though.
