"I used to play the blues alone in all the local joints," he explained. 'The only thing that I can really play on guitar to this day is the blues. I heard Doc Watson and his son playing 15 years ago, and from there I got into Leadbelly and John Lee Hooker."--DLR

One time a few seasons ago, the lead singer played the coolest, most evil slide intro to Slow Ride...it was a mighty time...a mighty time...

At one St. Loo gig, Paris Hilton and Ben Stiller were in the crowd...it was a local juke joint...not exactly the Viper Room...

These guys are the most rock n roll band in the land...they play an awe-inspiring cover of,"Tie Your Mother Down," too..."Saturday Night Special,"...

    Funny story about them:

I live in St. Louis but have never had the opportunity to go see them. Then they came to my school (Quincy University) because I begged and pleaded for our band coordinator to get someone other than Gavin Degraw or some phony copy. Anyway, he gets this band, practically just for me (but he would never admit it) and they were cool as hell.

I was in the beer garden when they started playing and they just got better as the night wore on. The lead singer can pull of Brian Johnson to David Lee Roth to Joan Jett, he is simply awesome. As for the VH part, I was in the beer garden during their break and noticed some older guys walking around. I realized that these guys must be in the band (they usually wear mullets and all sorts of disguises). So I got to talking to the guitarist, who was a really cool guy, and asked him to play some VH. He smiled and said they had some in their second set.

As the concert wore on, I kept going up to the stage and begged for some VH. I guess they thought that I was 20 different people, because they were under the impression that everyone in the building wanted to hear VH (that's how persistent I was). SO FINALLY after the whole second set, the lead singer asks the crowd that he thinks there were some people who wanted to hear Van Halen (expecting a huge scream or something I guess), well me and 2 other people just go ape shit in the back (we are in college, and most of these people do not even know who Eddie Van Halen is). Then the guitarist says that "if that guy that wanted Van Halen all night isn't here right now I'm gonna kick his ass." At that moment I ran up to the stage to show him that I was there, and they went into Dance the Night Away and encored that with Panama.

Basically, these guys are kick ass and can pull of many different bands, so they are worth the time and money. They play in South St. Louis County most of the time, but they did just wrap up a small tour in the midwest. I'd give them the thumbs up.
CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

    FYI,

The guitarist and drummer are from the St. Louis band "The Urge", and The bassist is from St. Louis band "Stir". Any St. Louisan will know these 2 bands...

Every year at Halloween, these guys dress up as a particular band and do a long set as that group. A couple years ago it was Kiss, complete with face paint, last year it was Sgt. Pepper's era Beatles and this year it's been announced that...

The Mighty VH will make an appearance! Keep an eye on their website for the exact date and place. I'm a little concerned that it's gonna be 10/27, which is the day before the actual VH show in St. Louis, and I'm almost certain that Van Halen will add 10/27 if 10/28 sells well.

At any rate, if you're in St. Louis around Halloween, this is not to be missed. These guys RAWK!!!
