Wow, London get's a bunch of notice (and it should) but this one only get's a single reply, and im not even sure Axx read the story.

Is it because it happened in Egypt and everyone feels as if these people should have known better then to vacation there?

Somehow I think that person from the UK that just happened to be in Cairo and was detained has something to do with this. He was tied in with those UK bombers somehow, I can't remember how since I just read the article last night!! Yes that was my exciting Friday night!!!!!

I read that in my little Time magazine. Sure is a big coincidink, in'it???

I've been watching cable news all night. I don't read initial reports anyway. The good, accurate reoprts don't show up for about 12 hours.

Beyond that, what do you want? Terrorists suck, what is understood doesn't need to be disgussed. I heard that somewhere.

To be honest, it's obvious why the London thread got so much attention, yet a similar attack in Egypt, that was actually more deadly, didn't get near the attention.

To me this one is a good example of our problem concerning all of this, we only care about people that we can understand. It has always been that way, and im not trying to pretend like I just came up with some kind of new way of looking at thing's.

I guess it's a wasted point, I am just as guilty as everyone else, though it is still bullshit that a place like Egypt get's ignored as if those people are less important then the people of London.

I think part of it is numbness. I'm not terribly interested in what happened in London, and I haven't paid any attention to the various bombings in Iraq and Israel in a long time. There's also the general assumption that violence goes on in countries like Eygypt on a more regular basis.
