Default "Snots running down his nose": The Jethro Tull Thread

Which Jethro Tull song is the lyric "Snots running down his nose" from? Acqualung? I'm not a big JT fan by any means but my son and I get a kick out of that line.

Just a bit of trivia for anyone who cares - Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath was in Tull for about a month back before Sabbath hit it big... He was with them for the Rolling Stones film "Rock and Roll Circus".

Beleive it or not, Tull was awarded the Grammy for best "Heavy Metal" performance for '89 in one of the most infamous moments of rock history.

When they won I don't think they were even there to accept. They really didn't figure that the people voting would be such dumbasses.

    Default Agualung

Sitting on a park bench --
eyeing ittle girls with bad intent.
Snot running down his nose --
    greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes.
Drying in the cold sun --
Watching as the frilly panties run.
Feeling like a dead duck --
spitting out pieces of his broken luck.

    Sun streaking cold --
    an old man wandering lonely.
    Taking time
    the only way he knows.
    Leg hurting bad,
as he bends to pick a dog-end --
he goes down to the bog
    and warms his feet.

    Feeling alone --
    the army's up the rode
    salvation a la mode and
    a cup of tea.
    Aqualung my friend --
    don't start away uneasy
you poor old sod, you see, it's only me.
    Do you still remember
    December's foggy freeze --
    when the ice that
clings on to your beard is
    screaming agony.
And you snatch your rattling last breaths
    with deep-sea-diver sounds,
    and the flowers bloom like
    madness in the spring.

I couldn't name ten of their songs!
Or even five, for that matter...

I did like 'Ron Burgundy's' JT nod in Anchorman though!
"There's too many people on this basketball that's floating around the sun, who are too afraid to allow themselves to FEEL" - Edward Van Halen
"Van Halen was never about the singer..." - a very wise fan.
"Embrace the past. Live in the moment but keep your eyes on the future, and keep on moving forward..." - Richie Sambora

Have you ever heard this cover of Cross Eyed Mary by Iron Maiden?
