    Georgia Satellites

I heard their song "Keep Your Hands To Yourself", at least that's what I think the title is, for the first time in ages. I believe it came out in 1987.

    What ever became of them?

Remember the lead singer had a space between his front teeth?

    Another fly by night band?

Killer band, IMO. The singer, Dan Baird, released a pair of solo albums a few years back. Just as good as the Satellites stuff. Here's some quick info on him...

Cool band and cool guys. The lead player went to play with Izzy Stradlin and the Ju Ju Hounds as well as the singer's aft mentioned solo albums.
Was lucky enough to down a few brew's with those guys years back after a show in a hotel bar. Very down to earth guys.

Line from one of their songs, I think the song was called "Red Line". Anyhow the line goes like this:

"She had Van Halen wailen on the stereo 8 track"

    Nice little reference!!

they were great. got to see the Satellites in a little club when they toured behind Open All Night, they played LOUD. instead of a "Hiwatt" logo on their amps, it said "Hi Y'all" .

Dan Baird's first solo album is the one to get, it's got the classic "I Love You Period."
