Default Installing Sperzels on an SG?

I have a Gibson SG Faded Special, and I am unhappy with the tuning stability. So, I'm thinking of purchasing sperzels and having the tech at my local music shop install them. Does anyone here have any experience installing sperzels on Gibson guitars? Would my tech have to route out new cavities to install them? Thanks.

    Sperzels need 10mm holes.

Or 3/8" holes if you're using standard US specs.
I've installed them on quite a few guitars, and they work fine on Gibsons, which are known to have shitty factory tuners.
Don't forget to get 3 per side sperzels, and sperzels usually have staggered heights so they have to be in the right order.
Those faded specials are beautiful guitars, but make sure he checks the nut slots as well when he puts on the sperzels.
Some gibson slots tend to bind a bit from the factory, so you want to make sure you have good string clearance through the slots. The locking tuner's varied height will probably angle differently from the tuners you have on there now and could cause a bit of binding. If you can afford a few bucks more try a graphite nut which really helps tuning.
