Default Sammy says, "I don't get along with Eddie anymore, and that's all there is to it."

Looks like another interview from Sammy.

    http://www.therockradio.com/2005/07/...miserable.html

After spending most of 2004 back with Van Halen, Sammy Hagar says he's in no hurry to do it again. The group did tour North America and record three new songs for a greatest hits album, but Hagar told us that what he once called a "continuation" has reached its conclusion - and he puts the blame solely on guitarist Edward Van Halen:

"I don't get along with Eddie anymore, and that's all there is to it. I think the whole world knows that he's changed. And I don't know what his problem is, but he's miserable and he likes to make everyone around him miserable. And I'm the happiest guy on the planet, and anybody who makes me miserable I don't want to be around. And so, that's a simple way to put it." Hagar did not completely rule out the possibility of working with Van Halen again, however: "Maybe he'll change, you know. He used to be a great guy. He used to be a fun guy and wasn't miserable. You know, I mean, he went through the cancer thing and all that, but he should be grateful and not miserable. That's the way I look at it. Maybe he'll change. If he changes, we can do it again."

Hagar resumed touring as a solo act this year. His The Tequila Made Me Do It tour, during which he'll play with both Montrose and his own band, the Waboritas, begins August 6th in Clarkston, Michigan. He also operates another group, Los Tres Guzanos, which features bassist Michael Anthony.

It was one year ago today (July 20th, 2004) that the Van Halen greatest-hits album The Best Of Both Worlds came out. It featured three new songs - "It's About Time," "Up For Breakfast," and "Learning To See."

I wonder if Eddie hears any of these interviews and if he'll reply.

Sigh. And the beat goes on.

Apparently the only pertinent question we're gonna be asking whenever the subject of another incarnation of VH comes up is, "Has Ed been to rehab yet?"

Geez, how embarrassing for Ed. That's good though--probably what he needs. Maybe all this airing of the dirty laundry will be some sort of a reality check instead of a catalyst.

Ed needs to go to Boot Camp. R. Lee Ermey will set him straight!

Of course we all know what's next--Ed on the 2dorks claiming that Sammy was the one out of control...

This can probably go 1 of 2 ways. Either it can be a wakeup call for Ed or it will push him further and further away from everyone. I'm hoping for the the first scenerio.

It is interesting that Sam and Dave say roughly the exact same thing.
You know the best tone I ever had was with that little bandmaster cranked to 10. Edward Van Halen, 1980, Guitar Player Magazine.

the 2dorks interview was really just eddie being an asshole. i was so pissed wen i heard that interview. Its tough ta hide that ed was the one out of control, and he should know it. Think 11/19/04. I feel bad for sammy. He looked like he was havin fun out there on stage. And the sad part is, everyone prolly wants hagar to stay, except ed, so hes screwin everybody

    CLASSIC!!!
Q: Recording the album took so long your Australian tour last year was cancelled. What was it like in the studio? There's a history of tension between you and Eddie Van Halen...

He was a big solo act before he joined VH. Sammy would still be doing just fine if he had never been in VH.

I agree I wish Sammy would just say it all at once and get it over but he has to keep saying a little bit at a time to keep his name in the paper.
just say what you want to say and get it over.
I cant wait to hear what a asshole Ronnie Montrose is after he is done touring with him what a freaking attention whore.
God I hope Eddie and Dave get back together!!!!!!!
