    Default Satellite Party

Lineup includes Perry Farrell on vocals, Nuno Bettencourt on guitar, Steve Ferlazzo on keyboards, No Doubt's Tony Kanal on bass, Kevin Figueiredo on drums, and Gabriele Corcos on percussion.

A sampler of Satellite Party music has just gone up at the official Lollapalooza web site. http://Lollapalooza.com Click "Lineup" and then "Satellite Party"

Perry kinda reminds of Dave in that he's lost and worthless without his
old band. You know anyone who writes a song named after his band (or
names his band after one of his songs? - PFP, Satelite Party) is gonna have
    problems.

    Default Satellite Party

I just read in USA Today that Perry Farrell has a new "band/musical" called The Satellite Party with the bassist from No Doubt and Nuno from Extreme.
They played yesterday for the first time at Lollipalooza in Chicago. The music was described as "space rock" and featured dancing girls. Official unveiling planned for next year. Wierd.

There was another tread on this with a link to some of the material. Eh
(waves hand in the air in a 'so-so' fashion). I'm pretty sure it Nuno wasn't
involved in those tracks. If he was, they wasted his talents.

But on the subject of Parties -
I'm kinda diggin Bloc Party. I like the way they use the dual gtrs in
"Banquet" and the melodies are great. Check it.

Anyone heard the whole cd yet...if its out??

I like Wish Upon a Dog Star.

Not a huge Farrel fan, but anything w/ nuno i'll give a listen.

So what's Farrel's old lady's role in the band other than providing eye candy?

I have the album too. It's a nice departure from what I would normally listen to. Great party album as someone else said.

I completely agree with this statement but I'll add this: It is in fact a very good "party album" but not in any way similar to all the music that gets described as "party music" because I think that music sucks. This is "party" music for the type of party I'd want to go to...call me a snob...whatever...but this is definately music that falls out of the usual parameters of what I listen to. The only reason I got it was because I heard Nuno was on it and I'm really glad I did because despite not sounding anything like Nuno it still sounds exactly like Nuno and it's awesome stuff all around...I never cared for Perry Farrell but this album, being that it's his vision and that Nuno was there only to help fulfill that vision, has given me an entirely newfound respect for both.
