Default 5 bands that should reunite

This was the title of an article in a local newspaper this morning. I hope some of the other New Jersey linkers saw/read it.

Anway I think you can guess one of the five.

They had an old pic from the 70's and the snippet next to it read:

    (paraphrasing some of it)

The original Van Halen is what I'm talking about. Forget Sammy Hagar and Gary Cherone. When Roth was in the band jumping around in spandex and they all had long hair they were the best. Let's run with the devils one more time.

I'll try and post a link if I can find it.

BTW, the other 4 bands were:

    CCR
    Destiny's Child
    N' Stink
Rage Against the Machine (never heard of them)

    How about the Police
How about Zepplin (with Jason Bonham on drums)?

I agree on VH and Rage, not the others from the article. Zepplin and Police, wow. I would add Soundgarden or Mother Love Bone, too.

It would be cool to see the original Police line up. Stewart Copeland rocks!

It should have been: VH, Zepplin, Floyd, The Police, and .....???? Can't think of a 5th. Cream maybe?

The Police are my all time favourite band; just a whisker ahead of Van Halen. However, Andy Summers is now in his early sixties; I have to say the clock's almost run out on a viable reunion unfortunately - not that Sting would even consider it.

No way CCR would ever reunite (If they all are alive). Fogerty HATES the other members of the band now, and has sued them numerous times over the years for various issues around the CCR catalog.

I had no idea Andy Summers was that old! I don't really see that as an obstacle however. As long as the guy's breathing, he could do it. The real problem, you're right, is Sting. He's too busy having sex for nine hours straight to participate, and I don't think he and Stewart Copeland can really stand each other anymore. Too bad, one of the best bands of the late 70's and early 80's, and they're probably done.

What is it about the bass player and the drummer in these trios? Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce actually came to blows before Cream called it a day.

    Extreme
    The Police
    Soundgarden
    Rage Against The Machine

Thumbs up for an Extreme reunion, but isn't there some kind of problem with Pat Badger now? I could swear I read about it recently.
