    Default Your Favorite Movie Chases

Yes, yes, it goes without saying Bullitt and The French Connection have two of the best car chases ever filmed...but what about the rest?

    Vehicles:

*The Road Warrior: Mutant bikers chase Mel's semi.

    *T2: TX1000's semi chases bikers.

*The Italian Job: Mini-Coopers wreak havoc.

*Live and Let Die: Best boat chase scene EVER.

    Foot Races:

*Predator: Alien chases Arnie and co.

*First Blood: Hick sheriffs chase John Rambo into the forest.

*Point Break: Keanu tries to catch Patrick Swayze (one of the best foot races ever, maybe).

*LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring: Balrog tries to eat Frodo and co.

*Jurassic Park: Rex tries to eat Goldbum and co.

*Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom: Indian cult members chase Indy and co. to a nasty rope bridge over troubled water.

I'd have to say the chase scenes in "Ronin" were the best ever.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Steve McQueen and his Mustang in Bullet yet - the Granddaddy of chase scenes, classic.

I'm partial to the Eleanor-chase sequence in Gone in Sixty Seconds.

Also love the whole freeway chase scene in Matrix: Reloaded. One of, if not the best action sequence EVER.
    "Suck a fat one, faggot."
-MikeL, showing off that sharp wit of his.

"You may recognize some of these chemicals. Let's start with cyanide...The one the Aum Shinrikyo cult attempted to use to commit mass murder in a Tokyo subway in May 1995...The same cyanide produced routinely--1.4 million tons per year--for use in the production of plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and so on. It seems that those who put small amounts of cyanide in subways are terrorists. But those who produce it in mass quantities and contaminate broad reaches of soil, water, and air, killing countless living beings, are not terrorists, but rather capitalists, and are counted among the finest and most powerful people on the planet."

-Derrick Jensen, "What We Leave Behind"

"You know what's weird to me is Christians who are against the death penalty. After all, if it weren't for the death penalty, we wouldn't celebrate Easter!"

    -the late, great, Bill Hicks

No prob! I'm watching it right now, it's amazing that this was a "made-for-tv" movie.

My two favorites have to be in order I might add...

    and...

Dirty Mary Crazy Larry has a badass '69 Charger and Vanishing Point has a equally cool '70 Challenger.

The other cool thing is in both movies nearly the whole time is a chase of some kind.
