Default "Not Enough" as a Wedding song?!

I'm tying the knot this November(I know, I know go ahead and break my chops) My fiance and I were on vacation in Jackson Hole, Wyoming this weekend and I had the Balance cd blaring as we were driving through the beautiful Grand Tetons
Anyway..."Not Enough" comes on...and she's never "really" heard it before, and instantly she loves it. Then she asks if we can use it as the song for our first dance...which I think is cool as hell. Better this than "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love", right?!?!
My question here is....what do you guys and gals think of a song titled "Not Enough" as your wedding song. I've read the words and gotten my own meaning from it and she agrees, but what do you think?

HV! Good to see ya around again!

The title IS a little misleading but the lyrics say it all...I say GREAT choice!

I think that would be a great choice. I have been in 2 weddings this month and they played some pretty cheesy songs at them both. I always thought 316 would be a great alternative to the traditional wedding march too!

Dude, are you high??? That song is about Sammy's ex-wife and how she loved him so much but it wasn't enough for him to stay! Don't pick a song based on a divorce for your wedding song.

For the wedding party intros I suggest Right Now, Intruder (may be too short) or maybe Baluchitherium?

    Default My wedding song...

I got married last November. It was a private ceremony (just close family and friends) at our new house. The reception would follow with all the other attendies at a very nice place.

The only request I had was that my wife walked down the stairs to a string tro playing "When it's Love". It was so cool and made the event ours. The funny thing most people didn't even notice.

I arranged the peice to sound more classical so that easch string had a different part. It was awesome!

    That would be my vote!

Umm, IMO the lyrics aren't exactly appropriate for a wedding. Kinda like how everyone misunderstood Green Day's "Time of your Life" song a few years ago, which is really a break up song. But anyway, here are the lyrics and judge for yourself.

    Not Enough
    To love somebody naturally
    To love somebody faithfully
    To love somebody equally
Is not enough, it's not enough
    It's not enough

To love somebody secretly (And never touch)
To love somebody honestly (And always trust)
    To love somebody tenderly
The tender touch is not enough
    It's not enough

    Love hurts you sometimes
It's not so easy to find, no
Searchin' everywhere, you turn and swear (Ahh-ahh-ahh)
    It's always been there

To love somebody foolishly (Can happen once)
To love somebody hopelessly (It hurts so much)
    To love somebody equally
Is not enough, it's not enough
    It's not enough

    Love takes a little time
It's not so easy to find, no, no
Searchin' everywhere, you turn and swear
    It's always been there

    (Guitar Solo)
    Standin' there....

    Oh!

And if it don't come easily
    One thing you must believe
You can always have trust in me
'Cause my heart will always be, yours honestly

    Yeah! Love hurts you sometimes
Not so easy to find, no-oh
Searchin' everywhere, you turn and swear (Ahh-ahh-ahh)
It's always been there, standin' there
    Love hurts you sometimes
    It's not yours, it's not mine, no-oh
    Love is only to share
You turn and swear (Ahh-ahh-ahh) it's everywhere
    Standin' there (Ahh-ahh)
    'Cause it's always been there

Yeah, I guess you're right...I always "heard" something else in there I guess...
I guess I was thinking more of this section:

    Love takes a little time
It's not so easy to find, no, no
Searchin' everywhere, you turn and swear
    It's always been there

    (Guitar Solo)
    Standin' there....

    Oh!

And if it don't come easily
    One thing you must believe
You can always have trust in me
'Cause my heart will always be, yours honestly

I guess it's all in how you interpret it. In my eyes there are so MANY ways to love somebody...one way is "not enough". The keys to a relationship are trust, communication, and "balance"(I really thought that this song was a significant reason for their choice of the album title). The chorus, to me, means that love has to start with yourself...in order to "get love", you have to "give love"(as Sammy says) and although it seems lost sometimes, if you look inside yourself, it's "always been there".
And I'm kinda tired of going to weddings and hearing the same old tired cliche love songs.
sixstring - What's up brother?! Been awhile, but I'm still alive
danward5150 and Texas Poundcake - I'm not high, but Right Now and 316 would be cool intro tunes for the party and ceremony. Although I don't wanna overdo it on the VH tunes. Ok, I DO wanna overdo it, but my woman may not agree.

I think it's just a matter of your taste in music and how you feel about the song. My brother just got married and they walked out of the church to the song "Love and Marriage" You know the one from that Al Bundy show.

    LOL.

My wife walked down the aisle to me with Love Walks In playing. Now I know it's about aliens but we both loved that song so it felt right.

My opinion is, if you both love the song and it has special meaning for you, go for it. No-one else there will probably understand the lyrics anyway. And if they do...... who cares..... it's YOUR day!!

    Good luck with it..

When It's Love would probably be my first choice, but Not Enough is great too!
