    New Music 2005

Journey will release their new CD entitled "Generations" on August 29, 2005.

Bon Jovi will release a brand new studio CD "Have A Nice Day" on September 20, 2005 and on the same day Def Leppard will release a 22 song CD of cover songs simply entitled "Yeah" which will include "No Matter What" as well as "Waterloo Sunset".

If anyone knows of any other upcoming new releases coming soon from artists that started in the the late 70's and early 80's please post them here.

If only we could get a disc of brand new never before heard material in our hands from the mighty Van Halen!!!!

Sorry, not that I know of.

Why did they release "Made In The Shade" two months after "Forty Licks"? Isn't M.I.T.S. a hits package from the 70's? Was it re-mastered or something?

I know what your saying though. Too many artists just "recycle" material. That is why it is good to see new stuff coming out this year from Journey and Bon Jovi. And even a covers album from Def Leppard will be great to have! Might be songs we have heard before but atleast it will sound a bit refreshed and updated.

The Stones' new album should be out by the fall.

    Brand new.

Interview with their producer Don Was, as well as at their press conference announcing the 2005-06 World Tour. They even played a new song.

    Cool!

Been out of the loop lately with work. Plus my uncle had his fifth stroke on Friday so the weekend didn't get off to a good start.

Missed the press conference/interview. What station was that on?

What is the new CD called?

I caught the Stones on their 1997-1998. Not just a concert that was an event! Awesome production!

I'm sorry about your uncle. I don't think the title has been released yet. The press conference was on feed from their website.....maybe you can still see it, www.rollingstones.com. I have tickets to see them November 4th. Can't wait!

I'm keen for the Bon Jovi & Def Leppard discs. Not sure about the Journey one, not familiar enough with their output. I thought they were pretty much all ballads???

Anyhow a couple of others I'm looking forward to are Iron Maiden's forthcoming live set "Death On The Road", out August 29th & the new disc from Tony Iommi & Glenn Hughes titled "Fused" out next week, July 12.

Other CDs I'll be watching for are the aforementioned new Rolling Stones release, along with new albums from AC/DC, Ronnie Montrose & Friends plus maybe even that long promised Guns N' Roses disc.

    Definetly looking forward to "Fused"!

There is also an album from these two guys recorded around 1996, it was a bootleg for years called "The 8th Star" (a reference to the album "Seventh Star", which was originally an Iommi solo record, yet the record company forced him to release it as Black Sabbath) with Hughes on vocals.

It is available for listening at Bestbuy.com.
