Yeah and not very well! LOL

No but I like the Eagles. The only problem is that they haven't bothered to play the LA area since they've been touring for the last 2 years or whatever. PISSES ME OFF.

I would go see them for a cheaper price, though. I saw them in 2002 at the Concert for Artists' Rights.

Yeah, they are on my radar to see, but they are not even coming close to me either.

The last time they were in Chicago, they were frickin awesome...I should say Joe Walsh was great...he stole the show...they do a thing where they play about 4 of his solo tunes right in a row...the house came down.

I saw them on the "Hell Freezes Over" tour in 1994 and they were UNREAL! Although, I'd love to see them again, I'm still pissed that they booted Don Felder....

I'm not surprised they are doing I Love Access since Irving Azoff is The Eagles and VH's manager. I like The Eagles but they have always been about making money. I recently picked up the book To The Limit - The Untold Story Of The Eagles, it's a pretty interesting read. Henley and Frey were and still are obsessed with power and profit. But in the end no of that matters because they produced alot of great, timeless music.

I'm waiting for them to release "Long Run" on SACD or DVD-A. I'd buy "Hotel Calif" but I'm gonna have to be locked up in a padded room if I hear that song and for that matter the album one more time.

It's sorely over played much like Stairway to Heaven and Money,
    know what I mean?

Radio sure has done much damage to good songs

Just as I submit this AC/DC's Hells Bells is playing on the radio

Time to tune in talk radio

Default The Eagles thread- In the Long Run

Just wondered if their was any Eagles fans here, I see most any other famous rock band has a thread so I thought I would start one for these guys. I not really a huge Eagle fan, but for some reason the older I get the more their music sounds better and better. Plus, I bought their new DVD which is very very good and if you are like the Eagles at all it would behoove you to get it. And of course, their history of not getting along is pretty much common knowledge which I think stems mainly from Don Henley, who seems to be the perfectionist/pain of the group, where as Glenn Frey seems to be the rah-rah/ pain of the group. Of course Joe Walsh is the guy everyone likes in the band, him and Timothy B. Schmitt I think are the liked ones in that group.

The Eagles are great. I wish they would tour at some of the smaller venues on the East Coast, instead of just the West Coast, as they are doing on this summer's tour.

I just wish they could've kept it together in the '80s - Don and Glenn both had some good musical ideas during that decade, but Frey couldn't really sustain a whole album on his own and Don could've used some "lightness" on some of his albums. Then when they did get back together in '94, disappointed that it didn't result in a full-length studio album. Loved the show I got to see, though.

Not quite sure when or how Don took over, just that he had done it by Hotel California. Can't fault him too much by the way it turned out, though...
