Kevin Dubrow used to say shit about Van Halen when they first made it big with Metal Health and Cum on Feel the Noise.

That is one of the reason Dave came up with the line "this ain't fucking Quiet Riot up here baby" when asked if that was real JD he was drinking.

But Dubrow has sinced been humbled and has profusely apologized several times for being such an arrogant ass.

Saw Riot a few years ago with Poison and they were really good live.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Ironic, I have Ratt in my CD player in my office as we speak. Does anyone else remember the Beavis and Butthead episode where they played the "I Want a Woman" video (one of my least favorite songs by them). I saw the video the other day and had to laugh at B&B when I t hought of them saying, "Oh god!! What is this crap?" and then followed it up w/saying how there should be a show called "Sluts" that was like "Cops"-classic.

Basically what D D said, he's a idiot (Dubrow), never liked him, though he was the world, his voice annoys the shit out of me, nothing a few tomatoes through the air won't fix.

I saw the "Behind the Music" special on Ratt last night. Nothing really great-the usual, booze, drugs, hating each other, etc. Still good to hear the good old Ratt music. Sad about Crosby though. BTW, the Pantera special was good also-I've never gotten into them, but still a good watch

I was waiting for someone to bring that up - I couldn't take my eyes off it.
Face it, Ratt were a marginal talent at best, but that old footage was classic.
Not to mention they totally give props to the Mighty. Juan gets the award for
Most Different Appearance (best bit: they had names for his stage 'moves')
with a close 2nd from the late and very overweight Crosby. The price you
pay for being the voice of reason (Juan) in the typical RnR fantasy...

And I'd always heard Pearcy was ginger, as they say. He certainly played it
    very Paul Stanley here.

    Oh! And Beau Hill. Crazy.

Oh shit! Robin's breakdown on stage in front of thousands. I had no idea.
The clip of him grabbing his cock and sticking his tongue out beats anything
in the Decline Of Western Civ 2. Poor bastard.

Double shit! And the piece of Pearcy falling off a 20 ft drop was worth it
alone! He got up and played it off, but you could tell he was hurtin when he
limped off. I gotta see that again.

    This shit was gold.

Not sure how they ever made things work with Beau Hill. I would have thrown my guitar at him for sure. Talk about a guy not focusing on the product and just wanting to get the album to the label on time. That said, they did produce some great tunes together. Lay It Down, Wanted Man, She Wants Money, Round And Round. All great tunes. Could never get into Stephen's voice though. Really like the band and just try to block his voice out.

Crosby..another reason why I'll never touch heroin. It's just not worth it.

    Full disclosure:

These Ratt songs currently reside in the iPod:

    Body Talk
    Lack of Communication
    Lay It Down
    Yer In Love

Although now that I think of it, I could stand to add RnR & Back for More.

PS - Di Martini is still cool.

I go around the house singing that shit. That riff/lyric is just so damn catchy!

And yes, Warren be the man.

I was a fan of Blotzer's and Warren's as well-two under rated musicians. Let's not forget one of their last songs: Nobody Rides for Free. Their first few albums were classics, however their last few were near crap.

Wow sometimes I feel like I'm the only one still listening to these guys. Gimme Out of The Cellar and Invasion of Your Privacy any time over today's crap. Their videos are classic. I especially love the vid to Body Talk, so much energy to it.

Warren was quite the hottie back in the day.

Yeah Ratt is my guilty pleasure, I admitted it in that thread. Some tuneage is just meant to be cranked and Ratt's is up there, at least for me. Lotsta nice foggy memories with these guys.

Yeah I'm living in the 80's. SO?????
