    Default Congratulations, graduates!!!!

It's graduation season and I just wanna say, from one graduate to others, congrats to the classes of 05!! Here's another thing I wanted to do: just some questions about everyone's graduations.
    1. What year did you graduate (8th, high school, or college)?
    2. If you had a song, what was it?
    3. What's one thing you'll remember from it?
    4. What did you do afterwards?

    Here's my answers:
    1. 2005 (last night )
    2. "When I'm Gone" by 3 Doors Down
    3. My friend, Zach's, voice cracking during the "Star Spangled Banner".
    4. Nothing yet. Probably go to high school with everyone else.
So you broke down, trying to leave town, I broke down crying on your return. You left me feeling hopeful, I'll never see your face again. You made for a bad lover's liver. You stole all the covers and busted my head. You made me such an asshole, I wish we'd never met. I'm tired of being bored. I'm through with the headaches. Hiding my hands that tremble like earthquakes. Under the table, under the daytime sky, Good Fucking Bye- Good Fucking Bye, Alkaline Trio

    1. What year did you graduate (8th, high school, or college)? 2003.
    2. If you had a song, what was it? Didn't have a song.
    3. What's one thing you'll remember from it? Knowing that it was the last time I would have to see that hell-hole.
    4. What did you do afterwards? Nothing really, just went home.

Since high school graduation was the biggest (at least I thought so at the time and we didn't have jr. high graduation):

    High School graduation: 1990
Class Song: "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey
One thing I'll remember: before graduation my entire extended family had come over to our house along with family friends and my dad made his big announcement that he was remarrying and was engaged (my mother had passed away from cancer only 2 1/2 months earlier and, no, my parents were not divorced and had a wonderful marriage...he just remarried VERY quickly)...so, I had a lot of mixed feelings my graduation day. It was not a very happy moment
What we did afterward: we had a "Project Graduation" at the YO Ranch and played poker and all kinds of goofy other games all night, where awards were given, etc. It didn't end until 5:00am the next morning.

I'll go with my college graduation:

    1. What year did you graduate: 2003

    2. If you had a song, what was it? No official song, but I cranked Schools Out by Alice Cooper afterwards. Just seemed appropriate.

    3. What's one thing you'll remember from it?The head of my department, who I never saw eye-to-eye with, handing me my degree. Take that.

    4. What did you do afterwards?to quote Homer Simpson: "It was the most I ever threw up, and it changed my life forever."

    1. What year did you graduate (8th, high school, or college)? High School 1999
    2. If you had a song, what was it? "Life", but I can't remember the female artist's name. It was a hit song.
    3. What's one thing you'll remember from it? Sticking my tongue out to the camera while they were replaying footage of our formal night and the huge laughter response I got from that.
    4. What did you do afterwards? Pretty much slept in the backseat of the car while Mum and Dad drove me home.
Bobby Cohn: Who's going to be at Waynestock?
Wayne Campbell: Um, uh...Aerosmith & Pearl Jam!
Garth Algar: Ha ha ha ha ho!
    Bobby: Who else?
    Garth: Uh, me...and...and Wayne...
    Wayne: ...and uh...VAN HALEN!!!
Garth: Wow. Van Halen. Who else?
    Bobby: Yeah, who else?
Wayne: Uh, an old man fashioning a kayak out of a log?

    High School-1991

    Song - Winds of Change-Cinderella
    Learning to Fly-Pink Floyd

One thing Ill remember from it - There was a big stink about the dress code at graduation that year. They tried to say the girls had to wear dresses under our gowns and the guys pants. So this one chick.... a cowboy type.... didn't want to wear a dress, she wanted to wear her boots and jeans. So they threatened her with not walking the stage. So my best friend and I wore only bikinis under our gowns. No one questioned us though! But we were ready to flash them!

Afterwards- All night parent sponsered party. Won a microwave, a clock radio and a few other things that night. Had the beer party later!

    I don't remember a specific song...
I'll remember a couple things...Wore Vans, Levi's, and an old Amnesty International t-shirt thinking, "Why would anyone dress up UNDER a gown?!?" AND, the previous night, some graduates from our rival HS decided to play bumper tag on the highway...one kid was killed right after graduation...Napa is a small town so lots of our grads knew the guy...
Afterwards...partied until about 5 the next morning...
    Can't stop...addicted to the shindig...

My cousin just graduated sixth in his class of 500. He's going to the Air Force Academy in a few weeks (Boot camp, then classes start in the fall). I asked him to buzz my house someday with a stealth bomber and he said he would.
