Mix Pink Floyd, Dream Theater and a slight sprinkle of Coldplay and what do you get? http://www.porcupinetree.com

Yeah, they're great. I've been rocking/chilling to Deadwing for a coupla
weeks. I recomend In Absentia as well. Very Rush-like in the hard spots
and total Britpop in the mellow.

My roommate turned me on to these guys. Wow. Phenomenal. Especially Gavin Harrision. Thought you guys might enjoy this. Gavin at the Modern Drummer Hall Of Fame ceremony a couple years back:

    God, he's awesome.

And, as luck would have it, they're playing at the House of Blues in Dallas on the 20th. I'm so there.

My advice is to go for the alien abduction story. Look bemused, dishevelled and on the verge of tears as you recount your story of intrusive and degrading medical tests.
Worked for me anyway. I still have colleagues asking me what it is like to fuck a green womanoid with seventeen breasts.
Alternatively just walk in and inform everyone that alcoholism is indeed a disease and that they should be less judgemental and perhaps a little more supportive."
