Default Why I didn't get a class ring...

Arriving to the prom -- Callisburg High School students took many modes of transportation to the prom this year. Jason Hodgkinson helps his date Ashley Taylor out of a John Deere tractor.

Yup that guy is (sad to say) from my old high school, why on earth would anyone think it's "awesome" to take their date in a John Deere tractor?? I remember back during my senior prom some of the guys wanted to take their date in a tractor, a semi...etc. And I was like ummm I mean if your in need of attention that bad...

Sometimes it doesn't pay to say you was raised in the country.

Where in the hell is this from? Christ, I thought I grew up in hick ville, but this takes the cake. I can honestly say, no one thought of taking their date in a tractor. Living on a farm now I know tractors are filthy-even if you clean the hell out of them, there's still dust and dirtin them. I can only imagine how much crap they have on their tux/dress.

My high school was in Callisburg Texas (for you in Texas it's a 2A sized school) and the prom is usually held in Gainesville, just down the road. They are located about 60 miles north of Dallas right on the TX/OK border. My high school town had a total of three stop signs, two churches, a feed store, and gas station/convience (sp?) store.

Yeah it is the absolute definition of hickville, and it still boggles my mind why anyone would do it other than desperately needing attention in the worst way possible.

It sounds like my town when I grew up. It too was/is a 2A school. There was 2 stop lights, I think 3 gas stations, and about 15 churches-I kid you not. For fun on the weekends, we would gather at the lot-which as you guessed it was an empty lot-and drink beer. We would also ride around the back roads, and drink beer. The town has changed alot since then. There's now a major casino north of town and we have McD's here along w/hotels and the like. Despite all this, its still a hick town, yet here I live working on the farm.

It's people such as those that give the rest of us Texans a bad rep...

    IDIOT HILLBILLIES.

Back to the subject at hand...

I never got a class ring, either. High school was one of the WORST experiences of my life...WHY THE FUCK would I want something on my finger 24/7 to remind me of it...

LOL WOW, yeah a small world!! I graduated in 95. My cousin is the middle school counselor over there and a lot of my old teachers work in Whitesboro because "the burg" doesn't pay jack.

That is so awesome, have you been back to Whitesboro lately?? I used to go all the time over there, their Pizza Hut was the closest one we had living out in the country

We go to Whitesboro alot, my family still lives there. Do you get out that way at all? They even have a Subway, AND a McDonald's now! I think they even have a 3rd red light. Did you ever eat at Don's Bar-B-Cue? That is where SNIC worked for several years.

LMAO man this is sooo weird, i've never eaten there but we always pass it when we go to eat at Catfish Haven near Lake Texoma.. (I LOVE that place...best damn catfish and homemade pies around).

Yes Whitesboro has grown quite a bit, a subway, mc'd's, chicken express, i'm just glad the old Dairy Queen is still there

I still remember playing in the Whitesboro little league when I was in 8th grade...I was just cleaning out my old room back home and as a matter of fact last week I found my old throphy I had won when I played that year..lol

The new high school they have looks really nice. I wish I could've had something that nice back in the day.

I used to live in C'burg and go to school in G'ville before my family moved to W'boro. I used to live down the road from Tom and Matt Gray. I know all you speak of very well.
