    Default John Lowery

His next major project came in 1998, when he worked with ex Van Halen frontman, David Lee Roth. “When I was little my dream was to play with David Lee Roth. One day I was sitting at my friends house and...I wonder what...Roth is doing now. I’m gonna call up his manager and see if he needs any songs.”

Being a fan of Van Halen, John was already familiar with the style of music. He submitted six songs and finding they suited, submitted further tracks to Roth’s management. Eventually David and John met and recorded “The DLR Band” album in two weeks.

“I remember before we started he said, If you can’t do it in two takes, you can’t do it.” (GUITARIST MAGAZINE)

    2005 Ozzfest
John 5 is elated to announce that he will be playing guitar for Rob Zombie on the Hot Topic Second stage at this year's Ozzfest. "I'm totally estatic about having the opportunity to play with Rob on Ozzfest! He has been one of my favorite artists for the longest time. I had the opportunity to play with him a few weeks back, and never thought that I would have the chance to share the stage with him playing the Zombie songs we all know and love!" When asked what this meant for Loser, John's new band, he said, "This will not affect Loser in any way. We are still pressing forward with writing new material for our debut album."

He also played guitar for Rob Zombie. I'm not sure if he still does, though. He is very talented!

My brother got a chance to meet John 5 (Lowery), during a private screening of "The Devils Reject's", in Cincinnati. Zombie also put on a concert, to help promote the movie as well.

Dude, everyone of on here would leave DLR at that time to go play with Manson.

Dave had a good album that he produced at barely above the level of a demo and then didn't tour behind it to support it.

Then man's got to eat, and I am sure Manson and Zombie were much better paying gigs, and I just can't see him and Dave getting along for the long haul anyway.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Agreed. My brother asked him some questions about the various artists/bands that he has had the oppertunity to work with over the years. John 5 said that DLR (at the time) was very hard to work with. Maybe that explains why John didn't stick around to record the whole album?? Wasn't the album done with several guitarist's?
John also had alot of bad things to say about working with Manson.

    He is an unbelievable guitarist!!
