Default Any Meat Loaf Fans Here?

I'm not a huge fan by any means, but I do like the Bat out of Hell albums. Anyway, I heard there may be a Bat out of Hell III. Has anyone heard about this?

I am a huge fan. Bat Out Of Hell 2 is the best!!!!!!!!!!! Bat Out Of Hell is awesome too though. Their other albums don't come close to those two. I Couldn't Have Said It Better is an awesome song from their last abum though.

I thought Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell was a major disappointment. Bat Out of Hell is a phenominal cd. Just look at the list of musicians that played on it. I also have Dead Ringer, and it's just amazing how much his voice changed.

The last Meatloaf cd I considered purchasing was the one with Amnesty Is Granted on it. I listened to it in one of the listening booths so I could hear Sammy's background vocals. Didn't buy it.

    But just not that.

Since that's the only song i've ever heard of him, that i know of, i'll have to reserve judgement on him.

It is my opinion that Bat Out of Hell is an essential album in every rock fan's collection. Sure Paradise By the Dashboard Light is totally overplayed and you've heard it 1,000 times, but it truly is a phenominal album.

I would rank the songs in this order:
    1. For Crying Out Loud
    2. Bat Out Of Hell
    3. Heaven Can Wait
    4. Paradise by the Dashboard Light
    5. All Revved up With No Place to Go
    6. You Took The Words Right Out of My Mouth
    7. Two Out of Three Ain't Bad

Default Meat Loaf Claims 'Bat Out of Hell' Rights

By ERIC BERKOWITZ (Associated Press Writer)
    From Associated Press
    June 06, 2006 6:59 AM EDT

LOS ANGELES - Someone else might have written the "Bat Out of Hell" song, but Meat Loaf claims he should be the only one to use the phrase in connection with music. In a federal lawsuit dated May 26, the rocker, whose real name is Michael Aday, said the expression had been publicly associated with him since the 1977 release of his "Bat Out of Hell" album.

The suit claims defendant Jim Steinman, who wrote the original song of the same name, wrongly claims ownership of the phrase.

The album and its 1993 follow-up, "Bat Out of Hell II," sold 48 million copies worldwide, according to the suit.

The suit seeks damages of more than $50 million.

Steinman and Meat Loaf's manager, defendant David Sonenberg, have been trying to disrupt the October release of the third "Bat Out of Hell" album by telling the singer's distributors that Aday had no right to use the phrase, according to the suit.

"This contention is blackmail and a holdup," said the complaint, which claimed Steinman and Sonenberg have infringed Aday's trademark rights in the phrase, and are interfering with distribution contracts.

Steinman wrote and produced the second album, and would have produced the third, but he and Aday had a falling out, according the suit.

Attempts to reach Steinman and Sonenberg for comment after business hours Monday were unsuccessful.

OK, now this is just wacky. I think in the next version of the dictionary, this should appear under the definition for "frivolous lawsuit"!

I don't quite understand why Meat Loaf is suing his manager, unless the article failed to state that it was his former manager.
