    Default Billy Squier

Anyone here like Billy Squier? I have just started listening to his stuff again, and he has some awesome straight ahead rock songs! "In The Dark" is pretty amazing.

I must admit that I have rocked out to the song 'Lonely is the Night.'

Billy has quite a few good songs.

Lonely is the Night is awesome! So is In The Dark, Everybody Wants You, My Kinda Lover, and (dare I say it) The Stroke.

I thought that just went w/o saying around these parts.
Specially when Adam Sander pulls up in his black TA blasting The Stroke, all cool with his Aerosmith (?) or REO (?) shirt. Whattta dork!! But his mom thinks he's cool. I thought that was funny cause a lot of guys did that at my old high school way back in the day.

But I blast some Squier when I gots to now and then.
He's kinda out there with Donnie Iris and his "Leah" and "Love is Like a Rock" songs, IMO.

    Big fan.
    Seriously.
He got so dicked over when he made that one video where he was squirming in those pink satin sheets.

"Rock Me Tonight" - whose idea was that?

Still have my In The Dark and Emotions In Motion albums and there's some good songs (especially on In The Dark) but I do get turned off by the Boston accent (...my kind of luv-ah...). Damn, why didn't somebody tell us sooner...

I have Emotions In Motion on LP.

I will always associate the album In the Dark with the rollerskating rink. Squier was always rocking the house for those on eight wheels.

The Stroke is definitely cheesy, no doubt. But c'mon, it still rocks! A lot of his stuff (especially for the time it was recorded) doesn't sound nearly as dated as a lot of stuff from that time. Good stuff. Don't know why I am on a big Billy Squier kick, but I am. HA!

I dig Billy Squier, wasn't he RUMORED to have been a choice to replace one Sammy Hagar back in 1996? I thought I remember seeing that on an MTV NEWS segment by the ALWAYS credible Kurt LOADer

I love Billy Squier, I think he is very underrated. He is a great musician and song writer. He has a way of killing you with either the beat or a cool riff.

I think him and Eddie could write some cool stuff together. I don' know if it would be better than Sam or Dave but it would be better than Gary IMHO.

I've seen him once in concert, I'd love to see him again.
Better use it up before it gets old!

Wow - not sure if I remember hearing that he was a possible replacement for Hagar. That would've been interesting. He's got a very cool rock voice.

I know for sure I saw it on MTV news because I remember seeing the picture of Billy with short hair.
Then when I learned it was in fact Gary and saw him with short hair, I remembered the picture of Billy and how similar he looked to this new Gary look and thought, "These Dumb asses at MTV probably thought Gary was Billy Squier "
