Default Van Halen Tunes You Dig But Nobody Else Seems To

Seems like I have a few of these. Howzabout you?

On Fire. Yeah, I said it. This song gets overlooked constantly. Most of us hardcores know the dealio with this bad ass smoker, but I had to throw it in anyway. VH 1 is soooo washed out for me these days, the only reason I throw it in the player anymore is for Atomic Punk, I'm the One, and On Fire.

    Fools. Rocks. Too underrated.

Could This Be Magic? Ed's acoustic is funky and bitchin.'

One Foot Out the Door. Lotsa folks say this is the weakest spot on 'Warning, and a lame way to close the greatest album of all. Couldn't disagree more. Too bad the fadeout comes so soon on this ill-appreciated scorcher.

Big Bad Bill. Classic Dave Black Oak Arkansas, plus the bros' Dad. What's not to like?

Top Jimmy. Maybe the biggest sleeper of the Dave era.

Good Enough. Nobody likes this tune! Mistake. Kicks ya in the balls. Hey waitress.

Apolitical Blues. This is my King of Tunes Only I Seem to Like. Yeah, it's a cover. Yeah, Ed dubbed in the keys. So what? Maybe the bluesiest Sam has ever sounded with da boyz. I love this track!

Big Fat Money. I dunno, I gots no problems with this one. Solo's a little different for Ed, but in a good way. Great live, too.

Up for Breakfast. Groovy tune. Silly lyrics. Who cares? Another good one live.

Inside - Complete nonsesne but I always listen when that track comes on. It's just a fun tune

Big Fat Money - I Hate the solo but the song rocks IMO

I'll Wait - I see a lot of negative talk round here on this tune. I like it.

Feels So Good - Another different sound for VH. Great summer song.

Take Your Wiskey Home - Maybe my favorite off of WACF. Ed smokes on this one.

Josephina - Could have been a great song, but this one is a painful reminder that Gary did not gel with the boys. I still like it though...

Who doesn't like that one? Has somebody really claimed TYWH is a slacker? Tell me who so I can hunt them down and beat them with a stick.

Yeah, I guess that doesn't fit this category, I just don't see it mentioned that much in discussion, but I suppose that doesn't equate to people not liking it.

Ok, change that to Sunday Afternoon in the Park

It's true, it ain't discussed enough. Classic tune. Whiskey, Romeo, and Simple Rhyme all by their lonesomes represent some serious, not to be taken lightly Davey gravy.

As far as the solo on Big Fat Money, that's the balls, too!

We were just talking about this at work today in the teacher's lounge! No one likes Hot For Teacher!!!!! I couldn't believe my ears. They said it is offensive to teachers! Also, Everybody wants some. For some reason they have played it on our local radio station every day here lately, and some people were complaining ON THE RADIO that they didn't care for that VH song! What is up with these people??

Inside and Up For Breakfast get far too much flak for my taste. Both are fun, solid tunes.

    for me its probably:

Girl Gone Bad & house of pain - 1984
I know a lot of you here luv those tunes but they tend to get skipped by the people who bought that album for 'jump'.

on fire - VH1...dunno why but maybe because it's the last track alot of people skip it to return to the beginning

feels so good - OU812...luv that song!..I remember seeing the clip for the first time in the late 80's...was so stoked to see VH on australian MTV.
