    Default DLR fans!

You know all good things must come to an end. There was a time DLR was a vital part of Van Halen, but that time is way over. Don't get me wrong I saw them on the 1984 tour (perhaps the best concert I have ever witnessed). But Dave is gone and Sammy is in. To tell you the truth Sammy is a much better singer and front man anyway. Dave is just a circus act, he belongs in vegas. He is finally home. Besides that have you seen what he looks like now. But I will give him credit he is a great performer.

    1) Apparently Sammy is gone now too.

    2) Roth is 100 X the front man that Sam is

    3) Have you seen what Eddie Van Halen looks like now?

DRL was a much better frontman considering out-of-stage band's activity, live - that's argueable. Maybe some like hearing about him f'ink someone's girfriend from show to show, I was fed up after the 3rd video. And no way he'd put up a performance on the LWAN level.
Would VH have reached their legendary status had Sammy been from the beginning? I don't think so, but there wouldn't have been Fair Warning 2 even if Dave had stayed in 1985, and 5150 and the following with him wouldn't even compare to Van Hagar's catalogue.

Dude, change your name to DLR FANATIC already. Because it seems like that's what it's really all about.

"You may recognize some of these chemicals. Let's start with cyanide...The one the Aum Shinrikyo cult attempted to use to commit mass murder in a Tokyo subway in May 1995...The same cyanide produced routinely--1.4 million tons per year--for use in the production of plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and so on. It seems that those who put small amounts of cyanide in subways are terrorists. But those who produce it in mass quantities and contaminate broad reaches of soil, water, and air, killing countless living beings, are not terrorists, but rather capitalists, and are counted among the finest and most powerful people on the planet."

I figured he meant present day Roth, but I've seen present day Roth, and it kicked ass. Lots of ass.

Ok, if this is about if Dave was a good frontman, just look at the record sales, not to put Sam down cause Sam is a good frontman too, but around the world most people consider him the only frontman for VH. I hear more CVH on the radio than Sam era, and more people that like CVH and have more albums than Van Hagar. When I hear the word frontman, I think of Dave. As far as Dave being a "circus act" I don't think that's true. He has a creative mind, and it's what helped make CVH so unique and great. Sam brought something else to the plate for the band.

Maybe he's improved a bit now, but from the boots of Sam/Dave tour I couldn't say he'd be a great frontman of VH
