Default Sammy's "I Don't Need Love" is a rip off...

Crazy Train ?? The main riff sounds almost exactly the same as the opening one in Ozzy's tune just played faster. Don't you think?

No, I don't. They're similar, but I've heard alot of tunes that sounded like something else. It's like Eddie said, you've only got 12 notes!

Well I though it could be since 3 Lock Box was released the next year after the Blizzard, plus he played Randy V on LWAN (I guess) so I'm sure he was under the influence of RR.

there's a track off of hagar's 10/13 that he ripped off from robert plant's principle of moments album....a track called lay down your arms....can't remember the hagar track but the melody is exactly the same in verses...exactly.

Yeah maybe a little, but on Metallica's The Four Horsemen, in the middle Kirk does a riff that sounds almost exactally like Sweet Home Alabama. There's lots, it's hard to come up with completely different stuff than everyone else since there is so much music.

    Henry Lee Summer did a tune called "I Wish I Had A Girl" that's a rip-off of Sammy's "Plain Jane" !
That's the name of the game , there's very little "original" ideas around anymore !

What you guys said may be true, but some music is definitely more original than others.

You all know the riff to "Come as you are" right?
Now take a listen to a song called "Eighties" by Killing Joke. Same exact riff, but sped up and five years earlier. Cobain was not too swift on that one.

No. As was said, similar but I can't call it a rip off.

I swear, the "3 Lock Box" riff sounds so much like Mean Street!
    "Suck a fat one, faggot."
-MikeL, showing off that sharp wit of his.

"You may recognize some of these chemicals. Let's start with cyanide...The one the Aum Shinrikyo cult attempted to use to commit mass murder in a Tokyo subway in May 1995...The same cyanide produced routinely--1.4 million tons per year--for use in the production of plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and so on. It seems that those who put small amounts of cyanide in subways are terrorists. But those who produce it in mass quantities and contaminate broad reaches of soil, water, and air, killing countless living beings, are not terrorists, but rather capitalists, and are counted among the finest and most powerful people on the planet."

"You know what's weird to me is Christians who are against the death penalty. After all, if it weren't for the death penalty, we wouldn't celebrate Easter!"

Well as far as we went off-topic, Avril Lavigne's opening tune for the second album, Take Me Away, is a NOTE-BY-NOTE rip-off of Lay Your Hand On Me from Red Voodoo. That's really cool since that means she listenes to a quality music.

Tone Loc sampled Jamie's Cryin for Wild Thing without VH's permission. I saw Ed talking about it on an old VH Clip from either the late 80's or early 90-91. He said something to the effect of " I heard this cover of Wild Thing on the radio and thought hmm... those drums and guitar sound really familiar." Can't remember the exact quote but thats pretty close.
