Default Mounting pickups to the body

Hey guys, what do you think is the best way to mount pickups straight to the body? Im tryin to do that with my warmoth and SD 59 and for some reason I cant figure out the best way to do it. My warmoth body is routed for a mounting ring so that the pickup just hangs there but I want it so that its straight into the wood.

And this is a little off topic...but are the wolfgang pickups 2 or 4 conductor cables?

All Warmoth bodies come with those plunge cuts for humbuckers. The best way to do a direct to body mount is to ask them not to make those routs when you order the body. Since you've already got the guitar...well that way won't work. I converted an old warmoth body with the plunge routs by drilling out the plunges straight through the body and filling them in with hardwood dowels. I glued the dowels even with the bottom of the pick-up rout and cut them off, flush with the back of the guitar. Some wood filler, alot of sanding, and a dozen or so coats of paint and no one knows but me...and now all of you.
