    Default At the Bar

I am 35 now.I dont hardly go to the bar any more. But when I did,I would go to "live band" bars.In all the years I have went, only two bands could play Van Halen for me.That just shows you how F-n kick a** the boys are.It takes alot of talent to sound like these guys do.

How did you Guess? I would like to sound like a good role model, but,VH rocks a little harder with a slight Buzz.

I agree about not hearing many bar bands cover VH......I've heard "Happy Trails" a few times after last call, but that's about it.

There was a cool bar band I used to see in Chicago in the early 90's that did a very cool Jamie's Cryin'...no Eddie, but the background singer had it nailed.

Earlier this month I was wearing my striped red VH shirt at an acoustic show and the guitarist looked at me and said "Nice shirt" and then played Ice Cream Man. The guy doing the lead guitar stuff gave me a feigned angry look after he had to play the solo on acoustic! It was pretty funny.

"You may recognize some of these chemicals. Let's start with cyanide...The one the Aum Shinrikyo cult attempted to use to commit mass murder in a Tokyo subway in May 1995...The same cyanide produced routinely--1.4 million tons per year--for use in the production of plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and so on. It seems that those who put small amounts of cyanide in subways are terrorists. But those who produce it in mass quantities and contaminate broad reaches of soil, water, and air, killing countless living beings, are not terrorists, but rather capitalists, and are counted among the finest and most powerful people on the planet."

Doesn't seem like it'd be "your kind of music."

I go to lots of Zeppelin/Pink Floyd cover shows. I would TOTALLY want you there, but I know that's not your thing

Next time I see the Punks though I'll definitely invite you.

Zepagain's coming up in a couple weeks at the Galaxy in Santa Ana (right off the 405). You should check that out.....and then I think W1P at the same place later in May

Aww sweet.....been to the Galaxy a buncha times. Last time was to see Eric Johnson. My next two weekends are booked (going out of state in a couple weeks) so I'll probably miss Zepagain, but I should be good for another W1P show. Keep me informed.

Tell Veronica the Jager shots will be on me this time!
