Default Your Top 5 Favorite Solos

I doubt this would go under the Main discussions. But anyway. Which 5 songs Contain your favorite solos Ed preformed(Eruption doesn't count). Based on whatever. Feel, technical ability lenght. Whatever get's you pumped and playin' air guitar (or a real one if your cool). Also state why.

    Mine in order:
    1.Runaround
    2.Amsterdam
    3.Dreams(the second one.)
    4.Hot For Teacher(both)
    5.Panama

    Why:
1.The solo just plain kicks. I mean come on it's got so much fucking energy. It's one of those solo's that's so crazy, it proves Ed's still got it. Especially since some of his latter solo's were being viewed as "generic."
2.The feeling man, seriously. This solo just has a vibe to it that is like no other. The best part of this solo is at 2:50 when the rhythm and lead parts are playing simultaneously and it sounds really heavy, then it get's really dark all of a sudden.
3.If you don't get chills from this, you might be a robot.
4.Intro, especially live. Uber fast. Uber cool. The second solo. A bitch to learn. It's goes flippin' wild.
    5. Oh come on....the whole song has a crap load ov energy. The same reason as Hot for Teacher. It goes wild.

My favorite is the solo from A.F.U. It always gives me goosebumps when Sammy screams in unison with Eddie's own guitar "scream" And the rest of it is great. But his best, trademark solo- which you can tell right away it is him playing- is the one from "One foot out the door" that is simply amazing from start to finish

    1. Feelin'
    2. Hear About it Later
    3. Feel So Good
    4. Runaround
    5. I'll Wait

Ok, I chose Feel So Good to have one of my Top 5 fav. solo's because it has a lot of feeling and it mends well with the structure of the song. Right before the solo kicks in you have that keyboard riff and Ed doing the same thing he does before Running with the Devil kicks in.

Feelin is I think the best solo Ed has ever recorded on a song. Hear About It Later is also cool.(He uses the opening to that solo in Sucker in a Three Piece too) Runaround has a lot of key "Ed" riffs in that solo. I'll Wait is just cool.

Women in Love - its just a bunch of trills but it sounds so cool
And the Cradle Will Rock - very cool
Push Comes to Shove - amazing leads

Ok I'll give it a try:

    1. Atomic Punks
    2. On Fire
    3. Little Dreamer
    4. Hot 4 Teacher
    5. Fools

I've got lots more faves but you only asked for 5 and that's the best I could come up with. I originally kept going but realized I was way past 5, so 5 it is then.

    "Suck a fat one, faggot."
-MikeL, showing off that sharp wit of his.

"You may recognize some of these chemicals. Let's start with cyanide...The one the Aum Shinrikyo cult attempted to use to commit mass murder in a Tokyo subway in May 1995...The same cyanide produced routinely--1.4 million tons per year--for use in the production of plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and so on. It seems that those who put small amounts of cyanide in subways are terrorists. But those who produce it in mass quantities and contaminate broad reaches of soil, water, and air, killing countless living beings, are not terrorists, but rather capitalists, and are counted among the finest and most powerful people on the planet."

-Derrick Jensen, "What We Leave Behind"

"You know what's weird to me is Christians who are against the death penalty. After all, if it weren't for the death penalty, we wouldn't celebrate Easter!"
