just saw that pic of dlr in the gold outfit in the "dave touring" thread and i couldn't stop laughing.....does anyone have any funny pics of the band? i saw one of roth in the millenium falcon making fun of hagar that was hilarious.

also, what's the funniest van halen parody.....that dude who did the roth prank phone calls on the howard stern show was awesome.

I don't know if this is considered a parody or not. Chris Kattan did an impersonation of DLR on a SNL show segment. In the sketch he was DLR on a talk show with other guests; anybody remember it?

I remember that. It was "Hey, remember the 80s?" with Goat boy.

I've got an mp3 from the Howard Stern show where crackhead bob sings VH.

I just found some parody lyrics for Jump:

"Jump-The D.L.R. EMT Remix" Parody by Dan Lister

Since David Lee Roth announced his intention to become an Emergency Medical Technician [Yahoo News, 06-25-2004], I figured that he needed a theme...thus, the David Lee Roth EMT Remix

I get up, and the bills get me down.
I'm no longer tough...I've seen gray hair replace brown
And I know, baby, just how you feel.
You've got to roll with the Van Halens to be musically real

Oh, can't you see me standing here,
I've got my hands on the defibrillatin' machine
    I ain't the best that you've seen.
As an EMT, I'm so gre-e-eeen?

Give this old guy a jump. Jump !
    Make his heart thump...
    Go ahead, jump....Jump !
    Go ahead, jump.

Aaa-ohh! Hey you ! Who is that ?
    Baby, how you been ?
You say you don't know, 'til I wipe off
    The drool from my chin.

Oh can't you see me standing here,
I've got my hands on the blood pressure cuff...
    I'm still a-struttin' my stuff...
You say I'm no longer bu-u-uff?

One big syringe to the ruuuump...Rump!
    Dislodge that blood clump
    Career's in a slump...SLUMP!
Now, I live in a dump...

Give this old guy a jump. Jump !
    Make his heart thump...
    Go ahead, jump. Jump !
    Go ahead, jump.

This probably fits this thread better than where I had it posted before:

OK guys, this just in. VH’s PR rep was just on the radio over at WSHAT out in LA and had the following to say about the boys. VH is not officially over but the guys will be busy for a while doing the following:

Ed just got word that his Pippy Longstockings impression during the 2004 tour impressed broadway directors so much that he has won the starring role as Ms. Pippy herself. He firmed up the details during a recent trip to NYC where he was stalked by several autograph hounds and people who kept referring to him as "Eddie”, which he hates a lot. Show starts this fall and Ed is mucho excited.

Mikey heard from his lawyer that the FDA has finally approved his patented hot sauce as a cure for cancer (or any other ailment for that matter). Turns out, the sauce is so damn hot that when you ingest it, it kills you dead on the spot. Voila, no more ailment. He states that he will soon have more money than God Himself and plans to replace his trusty roll of Charmin with a stack of Benjamins.

Alex has also been bitten by the acting bug but is becoming frustrated that he is continually cast as “THE MAN WHO ALWAYS WEARS SUNGLASSES AND STARES OFF INTO SPACE AT APPARENTLY NOTHING”. He hopes to take more acting classes this summer at the local community college and is anxious to learn how Ed gets into the character of Ms. Pippy this Fall.

Sammy is planning to appear on the next Barbara Walters Special to pitch his new book “When Women with Wild Hair and Whales Mate: How I Learned To Love Me”. Turns out that Sammy plans to reveal for the first time that he is the illegitimate love child of none other than Fat Bastard and Sarah Jessica Parker. Expect lots of blubbering and tissue usage over shots of Cabo as the cameras roll. I hear his story is quite touching and a must see.

Dave tried being an EMT but got fired for sexual harassment when he kept hitting on the female patients. The last straw was when he requested sex from an injured woman as she lay on the gurney awaiting transport to the hospital. When she refused Dave said, “Look, I’ll pay you for it what the f---?” Dave explained to his bosses that he was simply having a drug induced flashback and really thought that he was on stage with Van Halen singing the last line to “Everybody Wants Some”. His bosses didn’t buy it. Things are looking up for Dave though as he recently secured a position working security for the Atomic Punks. He knows that they are a tribute band but can’t figure out who they are trying to pay homage to or why he likes the songs so much. He blames his current situation on copius hashish consumption in his youth.

So there you have it. The boys will be quite busy over the next several months and/or years with their various “projects”. When asked whether fans can expect to hear any new music from VH soon, the rep replied “Despite having over 167 albums worth of material, I would not expect to hear from the boys anytime soon. But they will be back…..sometime in the future….maybe…..but don’t quote me on that.” I swear that the above is true because I have a friend in the biz whose brother delivers pizzas to a lady that is married to Azoff's maid's 2nd cousin-so it must be true.

Not really a parody but the "Dinner at the Van Halens" SNL sketch was great.

The Roth Army has Dave dressed up as Luke Skywalker (Return of the Jedi) with the comment "I've come to bargain for Ed's life". With that being said, I believe it is understood that Sammy is compared to Jabba the Hut.

Here are some home-captured funny Van Halen pictures from various places/interviews/concerts. Captured by yours truly and a friend.

notice how alike the Alex and Ed ones are. Also, I think Dave kinda looks like an old woman.
