    Default Van Halen & AC/DC in 2006!

Before I post please keep in mind that this not yet official, of course, but it is from a reliable source (mods if you feel this should go in the rumors section feel free to do so but let it be duly noted that it will become official in the month's ahead).... I have been a member of the official AC/DC fan club for several years and have met the band on numerous occasions through the band's management. In the last 7 years I have kept in close contact with the band's management and have just learned that they have contacted Irving Azoff regarding a possible co-headlining tour with Van Halen.

Without going into too much detail, let me just say this: AC/DC is currently in London, England putting the finishing touches on their new album and will probably release it in feb or march of 2006 to coincide with the next Van Halen record (yes they are recording it as we speak with Sammy...don't ask how I know I just know ok?)...

The tour will allow each band to split the dates in the U.S. evenly as to who will go on first and last. It is also being suggested that AC/DC will go on after Van Halen in Australia and parts of the U.S. while Van Halen will "headline" (i.e. go on stage after AC/DC) in Canada and the other parts of the U.S. European dates are to be determined....

Both parties love the idea and are just working out the financial details. Be forewarned: ticket prices will range from $90-$225 U.S. Also, Azoff music management is considering the idea of co-introducing the iloveallaccess idea as a package for both AC/DC and Van Halen (i.e. access to soundchecks for both bands!) AC/DC's management loved the introduction of the idea on the Van Halen reunion tour and will have the profits of these VIP packages split 50/50 between both bands!

    Stay tuned for further details....

I really want to believe you on this one, I mean that would ROCK unlike any show on this Earth ever has!

I must confess though, I am skeptical.

Ha! Two of my top-five favorite bands. Dream on.

"You may recognize some of these chemicals. Let's start with cyanide...The one the Aum Shinrikyo cult attempted to use to commit mass murder in a Tokyo subway in May 1995...The same cyanide produced routinely--1.4 million tons per year--for use in the production of plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and so on. It seems that those who put small amounts of cyanide in subways are terrorists. But those who produce it in mass quantities and contaminate broad reaches of soil, water, and air, killing countless living beings, are not terrorists, but rather capitalists, and are counted among the finest and most powerful people on the planet."

    That would be something.
Bobby Cohn: Who's going to be at Waynestock?
Wayne Campbell: Um, uh...Aerosmith & Pearl Jam!
Garth Algar: Ha ha ha ha ho!
    Bobby: Who else?
    Garth: Uh, me...and...and Wayne...
    Wayne: ...and uh...VAN HALEN!!!
Garth: Wow. Van Halen. Who else?
    Bobby: Yeah, who else?
Wayne: Uh, an old man fashioning a kayak out of a log?

Goddamn, but I love the rumor mill.

That being said, if 2006 involves two brand new LPs from AC DC and Halen plus a coheadlining tour with 5 star access...

    that's a good fucking year.

Gotta think this is the motherlode of longshots.

Still...Angus and Ed onstage together for a quick duel-duet of Whole Lotta Rosie segued into Sinners' Swing? Holy mother of all that's pure.

    A man can dream.

This would be cool......I'd still rather see VH by themselves in a 700 seater club.
Actually I think most of us are Dave, Sam, and Mike fans. There's just a small group of people who have strange allegiances and like to get into petty pissing contests that I can't believe everyone on this site isn't bored of. - Brett
