    These Guys Deserve A Goodbye!

I wasn't going to really post anything publically, and make a scene or anything, but as you might have noticed we lost a group of core moderators today, Glenn, Seenbad, MikeL, SactoFan, and tribb.

For them, priorities of real life and feeling they had run their course as mods here prompted them to step down. I can completely understand and appreciate that.

I just feel these guys have done so much for the web site, that they deserve this thread in public, and in Main too. For those that weren't around in the beginning, you wouldn't remember what a fledling site this was, and how if it weren't for posters like the guys above, this site never would have taken off, and probably wouldn't still be going 5 1/2 years later. So for that alone, they should be thanked. They were all the perfect representatives to what I wanted this site to be. They went beyond the call of duty for just a stupid message board, and took pride in their work and their posts.

I am pretty sure we'll still see these guys around from time to time, and I'm glad for that, but it's definitely the end of an era with them not part of the "staff" anymore.

    Thanks for everything guys!

    im shocked.
    seriously.
what is with the mass exodus?
sounds to me like they are frustrated with the way the board and posts are headed..all at once?
r they starting their own board?

this is a sad day, that's for sure.
i butted heads with all of them, but always appreciate what they do and did...its always the behind the scene guys that r responsible for the best of everything, and these guys are no exception..!!

i really cant believe they r leaving..what r they going to do?

next, you'll tell me sucka is leaving...

Guys just felt it was time to move on, they will still post here from time to time. We all have frustrations with the board. There is no bad blood at all, I'd take any of them back in a minute, I just wanted them to have a nice little appreciation thread, they deserved it! The least I could do.

I knew it was a mistake to take Sacto's quote out of my signature.

Those were four quality folk. I call each of them a friend, all for different reasons, naturally.

Yet their dedication to this site was unswerving, and each would find time to answer PM's, from the beginning to the end.

Sucka told me a long time ago about the nature of change at websites...being new to the experiance, I doubted him.

Now I sort-of understand what he meant.

Good luck guys...thanks for the laughs and insight.

I'll miss 'em all, especially Seen, for his stellar sense of humor, and Tribb for all the GREAT (and I MEAN GREAT!) guitar info.

Thanks, guys for all the hard work, laughs and tears...

...damn...and just when I was starting to frequent this place again.

Hope to hear from you guys from time to time and best wishes!

    goodbye

    guys...you will be missed...!!!!!!!!!
    DAVE vs SAMMY

People need to let this go.....it is like comparing an ex wife to your current wife...you can say how things would have be different if she were still here but she left you, so you moved on with your life.....

Same with Van Halen...would they have liked to have Roth stay, yes...but he decided to leave so they moved on.......

and the rest is history….. well until 1996……..lol
