    Default Eric Clapton!

The man is 60 today! Can you believe it? He doesn't look that old. I'd still love to see him live some day. I love his Crossroads Guitar Festival DVD. Simply awesome!

Believe it or not, I was sitting in traffic last week, look over and who is sitting next to me but Eric Clapton. I had heard he had been spotted around town, a friend said they saw him in a deli. Apparently, he married a girl from New Albany, a Columbus suburb, and has been spending a lot of time around town. At least one of the children he has had with her was born here at Riverside Hospital (same place I was born 35 years ago!). I about crapped my pants, I mean, the man is a living legend, right, and here I am waiting for the light to turn green right next to him. He turned at the next light and that was it...but what a trip. My heart was racing. The funny thing is not ten minutes later the local classic rock radio station played Layla.

The Cream and Yardbirds and John Mayall eras are definitely my favourite Clapton(along with "From The Cradle" and "Me And Mr. Johnson")...an' I used to think like badhorsie, but I've found some good tunes scattered throughout his catalog...his solo albums always have a couple cool, cool blues on 'em...
