I am PROUD of my son!

My wife and I just got my oldest sons (he is in 3rd grade) Parent Report from school with the STAR Reading results. It said, "Zach reads at a level equal to that of a typical fifth grader after the eighth month of the school year. His national percentile rank is 90." I am very happy we spent all that time before he started school reading to him. He loves to read and more importantly, he needs to understand everything about what he is reading. We are proud parents!!
He is actually upset about his ZPD (zone of proximal development) he was at 6.0 and now he is at 5.9...I told him not to worry about .01 and he said it still counts Daddy.
OKAY....I am done bragging for now.
    Just go for it!

I had the reading level of the average 8th grader in 3rd grade. I used to be uber smart in school, but then guys came around and now I'm like... stupid.
So you broke down, trying to leave town, I broke down crying on your return. You left me feeling hopeful, I'll never see your face again. You made for a bad lover's liver. You stole all the covers and busted my head. You made me such an asshole, I wish we'd never met. I'm tired of being bored. I'm through with the headaches. Hiding my hands that tremble like earthquakes. Under the table, under the daytime sky, Good Fucking Bye- Good Fucking Bye, Alkaline Trio

You can't spend enough time with the little ones. Time spent with them when they're young will pay big time later on.

    Congrats..........Be Proud

Too bad more people don't spend time with their kids, the world would be a better place.

Congrats! I hope my kids are doing half as good as that, if I have any out there.

Q: who was the biggest douche that you have worked with?

A: Eddie Van Halen hands down he threatened all the stage hands that if we wernt all pushed to the side when he got off stage that he would "bash our faces in"

Now the new David-Lee-Roth-Van Halen album, “Tokyo Dome In Concert,” is available for purchase, and it’s super, super, super, super, super, super, crazy bad. - Doug Elfman

Excellent! Now if he were a Vikings fan all would be perfect with the world! Seriously, that is very cool. I wish I had done better in school. I used to ace all of those damn tests like that they gave us, but my grades always sucked. I was a guidance counselors worst nightmare!

As a teacher I can say that THAT is definately something to brag about! It is also nice to see parents so involved. We don't see a lot of that anymore.

Thanks bro! It has definitely crossed our minds of "other" parents not spending time with there kids. My wife volunteers at our boys schools as much as possible, she is amazed at how some of the children are sent to school with NOTHING! This includes coats, gloves, and school supplies..etc. I have been to my boys school and I am amazed at some of the attitudes of kids...they are real smart asses and cocky. WTF?
That just makes me spend more time asking my boys: Hey, how was your day and what did you do??...The more I do that, the more answers I get....sometimes I do not want to hear the answers, but I think they are mostly being honest. Of course, we can sort out the crap from the real issues that we need to pay attention too etc...
    Just go for it!

Thank God there are some good parents around and not just people reproducing that don't care. Good job!

Way to go Brew! Tell him that the Links is proud of him. Hopefully he is smart enough to grow up a Cubs fan instead of following in his daddy's footsteps! J/K!
