    Source Of Infection

Anybody give this tune a try yet?

I hadn't been able to nail the intro for this song for about a year, but last night I sat done and nailed it out of the blue. Broke out my tab book and learned most of the song, and I must say that this tune is one of the most fun VH tunes I've ever played! Learning new VH always makes me appreciate just how brilliant Eddie is.

Anybody else have any success playin this tune?

Yup, that and A.F.U. were two of my favorites to play years ago.
When I did the tribute all we did was Roth era stuff night after night, and I think that's why I got as sick of it as I did. I love the Sammy era material, and wanted to go into it, but our singer didn't have the voice for it so I learned all the sammy tunes on the side anyway, hoping maybe he'd try some.
We used to jam all of the carnal knowledge album and most of balance till the singer walked in and then everything stopped, and it was back to panama and HFT. Good songs but not much fun after you've done them 7 or 800 times.
At one point I even brought up doing both eras and switching singers part way through the night in order to do sammy material.
    Guess how that went over.
I've been watching a lot of Sammy era VH tapes and DVD's lately and if we could have gone there I'd still probably be doing the tribute today, at least part time.
Boy I sure took this in another direction...lol
Sorry for going off topic Sucka.

    Default speaking of OU812...

yeah I hear what your saying. I tought myself to play guitar probably like most of you (which can be a good or bad thing) and over the years I have kind of picked up the keyboard a little. My technique and all that sucks but I can still create some nice little jingles. But Ive always dug the keyboards on feels so good, so last night I sat down with the tab book and just converted the guitar (which is converted from keyboard) to my own keyboard and learned it and its fking awesome to jam that song on the keyboards, as crappy as it may sound, it makes me feels so good.

I was just listening to Source last night! Great song, learned it from the tab book shortly after it was released. Just when you think VH has gone pop, they do a song that kicks butt, old school VH style!
