    Default Amps you've owned

I started out with a Stage amp when I was a kid. I think it had 2 10's. It was a total piece of crap. The disortion sounded like scraping metal on concrete. But it was cheap and it got me by.

Then I upgraded to a Sunn 4x10. Solid state amp. It was a good second amp but it was what it was - solid state.

Then I switched to a Marshall 2104 50 watt 2x12 combo. It was made in 1979, right before the JCM series came out. Still use it today. Love it. It's nasty, sweet, clean, dirty - all in one.

If I could add anything to my arsenal it would be a Fender Deluxe Reverb.

My first amp was a little marshall 10 watt practice thing, I then got a marshall 30 watt which wasn't a bad amp clean + dirty. Then another marshall, this time a valvestate 150 combo, great versatile amp but the distortion was lacking for me personally, so i traded it for the 5150 combo

I started out on a cheap 15watt Ibanez. Then moved on to a cheap ass 50watt Rogue amp. That thing hissed like a pissed off cobra. Gots me a 5150 combo soon after, and loved that thing. It was just too friggin heavy to move around, so I ended up getting rid of it. Bought a Marshall AVT-50 combo amp soon after, and still have that thing. Pretty good amp for the money, and it's only 40lbs, as compared to the damn 90lb 5150 combo.

Now I have a 5150II head which I got from Onirb, and that thing rocks thru an Ibanez 2x12 cab.

Thanks for rubbing it in... Have fun! Eat some of that killer food back east for me... (You'd think all the food stuff I talk about, I must be at least 400lbs...)

    Anyways, back to amps...

Started off wiring my guitar into my parent's stereo system with alligator clips while they were out, till I blew it up eventually.
Then I had some little 20 watt pos called a fabtone or something like that, till I eventually blew it up. I eventually saved up for my first marshall by getting some of the money working after school and talking my parents into helping me open an account at a music store so I could keep working after school and make my own payments monthly. From there it was marshalls and old fenders, then 5150's for a few years, then back to modded marshalls and old fenders again. Then a nice bogner for awhile. Now I'm back to a heavily modded 64 bassman, and a small Soldano.
Now I'm experimenting with Neodymium speakers. I think they're gonna be the way speakers will go eventually.

hey sucka enjoy bro, Vai and sheenan get busy! I saw them the other night in baltimore and I was throwing up the VH sign from ou812 on him all night, I think he saw me too and didnt really like it, but thats probably because hes jealous that im a better guitar player than him..........riiiiiight.

oh and I started with a peavey rage 15 watt amp i think, which i thoguht rocked distortion wise but I was 12 then, then i moved on to a line 6 flextone 2 about 5 years ago which is ok but kinda old. Now I just plug into my mac and play through garageband its more fun.

Wow, ain't seen that thang in a while. I bought mine new for around $500. Fast Eddie's music (Marissa, Ill) talked me into buying it in 1979 or 1980. At that time I was looking at a Peavey but they talked me out of it. They said "man you don't want a Peavey, that's a Country amp".

I started with a Peavey Backstage Plus 1x12. After I realized I was serious about this, I bought a 5150 combo. I got sick of it and bought a Mesa Boogie Mark IV. Then I bought a Marshall 2205 JCM 800. I sold both and bought a Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ and a Mesa Heartbreaker. After I had my fun with that (should have kept IIC+) I bought 2 more JCM 800s. Sold them both and currently I have a Mesa Boogie Triaxis w/ a Mesa Poweramp, and I am SERIOUSLY eyeing a Boogie Lone Star.

That sound in my head keeps changing on me...
How open-minded do I have to be before my brains start spilling out?
